Venture west along the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90), and you’ll discover Westborough, situated 33 miles to the west of Boston. Westborough’s name is a nod to Marlborough, a city in the Boston Metro West region, where it initially sprouted toward the west side in the late 1600s, eventually obtaining full status as a town in 1717, marking it as the 100th town within Massachusetts.
