Additional Information

Join us in welcoming new members to our history club as we explore the city that Edward Shelby, a relation of the real 19th-century gang from Birmingham, would have known. Be guided by Shelby himself as he invites you to experience the living conditions and daily life of a gang member during that era. Experience what it was like to stroll under the dominion of the nocturnal gangs and venture into parts of the city not typically included in our daytime itinerary. How did these criminal syndicates utilize the waterways? What role did alcohol play in exacerbating gang-related issues and how did the city officials attempt to mitigate it? During this interactive night tour, these questions will be answered as you visit five distinct drinking establishments, ranging from pubs serving traditional ale to gin houses and cocktail lounges. Enjoy light-hearted activities such as bar games and a trivia quiz, all while gaining a deeper understanding of the influence of gangs and alcohol on the city’s history. Our educational evening tour is ideal for personal occasions such as hen and stag parties, birthdays, team engagement events, or simply for making new friends.

Highly recommend - fun and informative. - We attended as a team building event and it was excellent. Ed was knowledgeable, professional and engaging. It was fun and informative. I travel to Birmingham a lot but really never saw the city, so a great way to see the city. I can highly recommend this tour.

Bringing Peaky Blinders and Birmingham history to life. - Ed is an incredibly knowledgeable and engaging tour guide. He shows you some amazing bars while he weaves the history of the gangs of Birmingham and wider England into the mix. Great way to experience the city, enjoy a beverage, and come away with some knowledge of the city.

Great Pubs and Guide - Great tour with some lovely pub stops. There were a bit range of pubs including a cocktail bar, gin palace and real ale pub. We lucked out and ended up with a great group and the guide gave us suggestions of where to go afterwards although the last pub was so nice and had live music and food so we ended up staying there all night

So much fun! - I did two of Edwards tours on the same weekend and learnt alot of different things on each. This was my favourite of the two and I loved the pubs. We had a great crowd which really helped but Edward was charming and helped bring the group together.

Beer, Gin, History, and Conversation. Well worth the price of admission. - Our tour guide, Edward was a bright and personable guy. He made the tour fun and interesting. As we walked, Edward gave us some of the history of Birmingham as it relates to Peaky Blinders. Along the way we stopped at three pubs and a gin house. I enjoyed meeting the other “tourists” touring Birmingham with a Peaky Blinders. Well done.

Disappointed 😞 - Arrived for the tour. No one was there, rang the number provided and told the tour had been cancelled weeks ago. Yet money was taken three days before. The money was refunded straight away but we feel very disappointed that we were let down like this.
