• Lingsar Temple - Lingsar Temple is one of the most distinctive and sacred temples on Lombok Island, located approximately 9 km east of Mataram. Constructed in 1714 by the Balinese King Anak Agung Ngurah, it symbolizes harmony and unity among the island’s diverse religions and cultures.

Lingsar Temple is unique as it serves as both a Hindu temple and a sacred site for the Sasak people, who practice Wetu Telu, a syncretic form of Islam unique to Lombok. Within the temple complex, there are separate areas for Hindu Balinese worship and for the Sasak Muslim community, demonstrating the peaceful coexistence of both religions.
