Jam packed fun and adventure - Definitely worth every penny. We started with a short ride tothe ATV starting point. We had 2 guides fir just the 2 of us. About 30 min up the hills to the peak with a great photo opportunity down to the port. Another 30 min back down and a pickup to the sloth and monkey park. We got to interact with different animals from parrots, monkeys, sloths, ginnie pigs. After that a short ride to the chocolate factory where we got to try different samples and then off to the rum factory for rum cake and samples. One of our favorite excursions We have ever been on.

Our favorite day! - This was an adventurous and truly authentic excursion for our family, and I could not have been more pleased with the service and the tour. We had the best time, and my boys are ready to return to Roatan as soon as we can. Thank you all again!! Thanks to George, we enjoyed our time with you and your cousins.

Great First Experience in Roatan!! - The tour was great. Our tour guide George was awesome and friendly. ATV tour was nice. Overall enjoyed all the stops. The monkey and sloths area was a bit overwhelming. Not the tour guides fault thought it was just a bit much because it was so many people in a small area. We did get to hold the monkeys and sloths. There are other animals as well. After those two we wanted out of there and George got us out of there quickly. Again he was a great tour guide. Got us back to port with plenty of time to spare as well.

See and experience a lot of the real Roatan. - It was a great way to do so much in just a few hours. We explored the backroads and neighborhoods of Roatán on ATV’s. We saw the wildlife up close at the Animal Sanctuary and caught amazing views from the back deck of the rum factory. Our guide, Demark, was sweet and accommodating and gave plenty of info on local life. Getting out of port- You’ll have plenty of taxis and excursion offers as you walk toward the port gate. Just keep walking and when you come out of the port gate onto the city street, ask for “Five Star”. A Five Star rep quickly came to us and confirmed our reservations on his clipboard. He then waved over our guide for the day and we were off on our adventure. The ATVs were challenging to ride, but our 17 and 20year old kids loved the experience. Tips - bring a handful of cash. Your guide will get you a personal guide at the animal sanctuary and we also had younger guides on the ATV’s. We were happy to tip them as well. I wish I had brought more for them. This is not a luxury tropical island experience, but our family was well taken care of by our guide and will cherish the memories for a long time.

Roatan is heavenly - We have ATVs, so we were a bit disappointed with where we went, but the guide and equipment was fine. We went through some back road alleyways, but not really through a jungle. It was all dirt road or paved. The fun part was that school was just getting out so all the kids were walking. I felt like I was in a parade. I wish I had candy to give them. All the kids were cheering and waving. They were so cute. We absolutely love roatan Honduras and if they had better hospitals we would consider moving there. There is a beautiful island vibe mixed with the Mayan culture that makes it perfection. All of our drivers that we had were wonderful and made sure that we got to see and do everything that our hearts desired. We added zip lining after learning that there was no weight limit. That was really fun. We also added horseback riding on the beach which was really beautiful and fun. We got to hold the sloth and monkeys. If you love animals this is definitely a bucket list item. One of my favorite things. The rum factory was a waste of time. It was really just a shop. The chocolate factory actually showed you a very very quick demonstration with a little information and samples, so it was fun without taking up too much time. And they had decent prices with a huge selection of different flavors of chocolate. We decided to get a box of several types to bring home and share with our extended family. Our driver was so kind that after we told him we were wanting to try some of the local fruits, the next day he came by and dropped off a big bag of fruit for us, just to be nice.

ATV part of tour left a lot to be desired!!! - Went on a cruise January 28th 2024 to February 4th 2024, and one of the stops was in Roatan. Did some research and saw that Roatan Five Stars was highly rated as a third party tour company. We did the ATV Sloth, Monkey, Chocolate, & Rum Factory tour. Overall the tour was pretty good. However, the ATV part of the tour, left a lot to be desired. The pictures that are shown in the add, and the way it is described, is not what WE experienced. I am NOT an ATV expert, but I felt that the tires that were on the ATVs were not the best for the conditions (Rainy and Muddy). The tread depth was not deep enough. When you applied the brakes, because of the wet and muddy surface, the ATV would slide. Unlike the smooth paved roads you see in the pictures, (I'm not saying that they didn't have that), but on our tour, we had muddy uneven, and in some cases, high hills to try and get the ATVs up. And since the tire's tread depth was not very deep the ATVs had a hard time climbing the hills. And this would lead to the ATV sliding back down the hill. This became very dangerous. At one point my wife tried to stop her ATV because a car was coming towards us, and when she used the brakes, her ATV started to slide and ended up less than a foot from going into a ditch. If this had been a city tour, or even going through some rural areas, but with wide flat surfaces, I would say that this is a great tour and by all means go on it. But because of what we experienced, it's hard for me to recommend THIS tour. Some of there other tours may be wonderful, and I may even try Roatan Five Stars again, but this is a tour I will not do again through them.

Dangerous Excursion! - Please note: I emailed all this too the company. They told me they would only refund my father-in-laws money if he removed his review on Trip Advisor. He is leaving his review up to protect people. Someone easily could have died or been seriously injured. My family and I traveled to Roatan last week aboard the Harmony for Royal Caribbean. We booked the ATV, sloth, chocolate and Rum tour. From start to finish it was an absolute disaster. We waited an hour and 45 mins at the port before our driver arrived. We were then loaded in a van with no air conditioning and were offered no water. Our tour guide barely spoke to us and gave no directions as we were shuffled place to place wondering what we were supposed to be doing. When we finally arrived at the ATV place they didn’t even have enough ATVs for our group. We waited another 30+ mins while they left us there alone, by a giant dumpster of trash full of wild dogs, on a dirt path behind peoples houses filled with trash. The guides were just kids and when they returned they still didn’t have enough 4 wheelers for us so we began to double up. My husband his father have ridden ATVs there whole lives. The ATVS we were given had no breaks and bent tie rods. They gave us no safety equipment or instructions other than to say, hold both brakes when we go down hills. My husband told them he had no breaks and was told to put it in reverse and give it gas. He made them switch him ATVS at that point. We set out on a dirt track up the mountain through the jungle. The hills were extremely steep and even with my gas pushed all the way down, the ATV didn’t have enough power to go up. People had to push from behind using their 4 wheelers. Our tires were so bald they didn’t have the tread to grip either. When we set out, we had no idea the terrain we were expected to red to go over, or we wouldn’t have gone. We all thought it was a flat tour. On the first really big hill, my father-in-laws 4 wheeler stalled and began sliding backward toward the edge of the mountain and he had to jump off. The four wheeler began to flip backwards down the mountain and nearly killed one of the young tour guides in the path. It ended up hitting one of the other ladies on the tour. She wasn’t hurt badly, but was bleeding on her arm and I’m sure had lots of soreness and bruising the next few days. We asked to be taken back the safest way possible and were told to just folllow. We continued on losing multiple 4-wheelers along the way and having to double up more and more people. We then began to go down a steep part one at a time. Let me be clear, if you were not able to stop, you were going off the side of a very steep mountain! My 13 year old was on with me and my 11 year old was with my husband. Every hill was extremely stressful as I watched them slide all over with no traction to get up and no brakes to get down. My husband would literally stop at the bottom to block the path so if I couldn’t get stopped I would hit him instead of flying off the mountain. We continued forward, still asking to be taken straight back as we didn’t want to continue and being told we were taking the only way possible. We did another steep hill down and at the bottom of hill I was able to stop, but the man behind me lost all brakes and wasn’t able to. He slammed into the back of my ATV. His wheel was literally only daughter’s back! We jumped off just as the woman behind him came down and lost her brakes and slammed into him. At that point we all refused to get on the ATVS and walked the rest of the way down. Even after all that, we had to wait 45 mins for a driver to come get us. No apologies were made for the waiting times, faulty equipment, or lack of safety equipment. This company needs looked into before someone gets killed! Our 4 wheelers look nothing like what is pictured either. I wish I had more pictures to share, but this was such a stressful experience I didn’t take many. Please look into this to make sure no one gets seriously injured or killed.

Danger Danger. - Danger, Danger. Dont go on this. It started with the driver being 45 minutes late. He never did introduce himself. The whole time he was on his phone. He never interacted with any of us. (12). But that was the okay part. We did the ATV adventure. I was so dangerous several of us walked back. We went out with 11 ARVs and came back with 6. The ATVs had bald tires, and almost no brakes. I could not get up the hill and the guide was not able to either so we doubled up. When i went up the hill it could not make it so it started rolling back, no brakes. I jumped off to keep from going down the cliff. Later the lady in the other party could not get up another hill. So another guide tried. It rolled back and tumbled over three times. He was very lucky only to fly off an hurt his leg. The ATV went down the hill and hit the lady. We kept tilling them to take us back it was too dangerous. They said it was closer to keep going. We ended up going further but then turned around and coming back the same way. My son had NO brakes so the other guide switched Bikes with him. My daughter went down the hill and could not stop, no brakes. She ran into my grand daughters ATV. The ATVs were in terrible condition, Bald tires, no, or very little brakes, tie rod bent. It was bad, and we are all lucky we did not get hurt any further. My hip and leg still hurts from jumping off the ATV when going off the road. The other lady was hurt more than me. Reflecting back we should have not went on the ATVs. We did not know we were going on steep hills. We saw the picture and it looked like just going on flat places just to see some site. Like in St Maartin. The guides were just kids. The director of this excursion should shut them down All the ATVs were unfit to host tourists.
