Includes some classroom instruction and review of your online work, shallow water skills and four Open Water Dives and all equipment needed. You will do the course work online, once you sign up for the course, we will contact you for some additional information and get you all set up with PADI so you can do the online work. It takes 6-8 hours to complete the online portion.

Highly recommend dive shop and instructor Joel! - We had an unbelievable experience with West Bay Dive. A full week of open water PADI cert for the kids, and dives for the whole family. We probably did 8 dives in total? It was completely custom to what our family wanted - we added throughout the week, we felt 100% safe with our instructor Joel - and they took great care of our family at all times. Joel was completely knowledgeable about all marine life, he pointed out and identified countless fish, rays, crabs, turtles and more. They are all wonderful stewards of conservation on the reef at all times. If you want to dive in Roatan - I cannot recommend this organization enough - and request Joel for your whole week! He will take great care of you - no matter what kind of dive experience you are looking for.

Core memories were made certifying my kids at West Bay Dicers with Arturo!! - Fantastic experience for my 12yo daughter and 14yo son getting their padi open water certifications! Arturo was the most wonderful, knowledgeable and kind instructor! I recommend him as a teacher and dive master 100%. My husband and I joined the kids on their open water dives. He pointed out so many fish from a huge barracuda down to a tiny pipe fish, jaw fish to puffer fish. He also showed us a spotted moray eel, sting rays, and turtles…just an abundance of wildlife! Arturo will be certifying our other two kids (in a few years)! The entire operation is a beautiful dance of professionalism (Barny guided us on every step) and organization from our dive lockers to our groupings. Best dive shop I’ve ever interacted with!!

Amazing dive shop - I can’t say enough good things about this dive shop. The instructors, boat captains, and staff are amazing and always helpful. I can honestly say I don’t think I would have gotten my Open water certification without the help of Joel, my dive instructor. Joel was exceptional in every way, he calmed and encouraged me when I needed it. He always provided positive comments to help me succeed as well as provided positive feedback. I’m headed down now to get the next level of training from Joel. I have been looking forward to this trip all year! My thanks to the entire West Bay Dive team for everything they do for their fellow divers!

Great experience - highly recommend! - Our resort (Grand Roatan) had offered a “try to scuba” class in their pool for free. This is hosted by West Bay Divers. We let our daughter (11 years old) try it out. Sean was the instructor and he was amazing! So patient, kind and easy going. He was very thorough and you can tell safety and comfort (of his students) are of utmost important.
After the pool session, they offered additional diving for a fee. Which we chose to have our daughter do. She did a shore dive with Sean. They were out about 1 hr and dove to around 25-30 ft.
My daughter absolutely loved it and has been asking daily “can I go diving again?”!

Open water course - Finished my open water course with Sean. He was awesome.
They were very flexible with my schedule. I wish I could have stayed longer to get more dives in before I had to go home.

Just Amazing - I had the pleasure of completing my Open Water course with Wets by Divers in Roatán, and I couldn't be more grateful. From the very first moment, I felt completely at ease thanks to the dedication, patience, and leadership of our instructor, Karim Cassis. Over three days full of learning and incredible experiences, Karim made every dive not only safe but also fun. His teaching style is clear, professional, and always with a smile.
It’s clear that Wets by Divers stands out for their excellent service and passion for diving, which gave me great confidence in the water. The quality of their instruction is unmatched, and they are, without a doubt, the best in Roatán. In fact, they are recommended as the trusted provider by Kimpton Grand Roatán, which made us feel even more secure in choosing them.

🌊 Unforgettable Dive Experience with an Amazing Team! 🐠🤿 - I just finished my Open Water Diver certification with West Bay Divers in Roatan, and it was incredible! Arturo, my instructor, was absolutely amazing—patient, knowledgeable, and so much fun to learn from. The whole team, including Julieta, Gabi, Mekela, Barney, and everyone else, made me feel so welcome and supported.
The dive sites were stunning, and the whole experience was unforgettable. If you’re thinking about diving in Roatan, I can’t recommend West Bay Divers enough. Huge thanks to Arturo and the team for making it such an awesome adventure! 🐠🌊🤿

My first dive experience! - I was so nervous to learn to scuba but West Bay Divers, and especially Joel our instructor, helped me conquer this fear! We had such a wonderful time, Joel made me feel comfortable and confident under the water, and my whole family is now ready for more. We have already booked our trip back. I can't recommend this company and Joel our instructor highly enough.
