- Metaphor - Tree of Utah - The Tree of Utah, also known as the Tree of Life, is an impressive 87-foot-tall sculpture crafted by Swedish artist Karl Momen in the 1980s and officially dedicated in 1986. This remarkable piece, primarily made of concrete, features a square ‘trunk’ supporting six spheres adorned with natural rock and minerals found in Utah. Additionally, several hollow sphere segments are placed on the ground around its base. A protective fence currently surrounds the base to prevent any accidents from falling tiles.
The plaque on the sculpture bears the words from “Ode to Joy” by Friedrich Schiller, famously used in the chorus of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony. It is said that Momen was inspired to create this towering 87-foot (27 m) tree after envisioning it while driving across the vast Bonneville Salt Flats.
After the dedication of this artistic masterpiece, Momen generously donated the sculpture to the State of Utah and returned to Sweden.
- Bonneville Salt Flats - Travelers will be picked up from a designated location in Salt Lake City and transported to the Bonneville Salt Flats near the Nevada border. During the journey, there will be a stop at the Tree of Life sculpture, where travelers can choose to take photographs. After visiting the sculpture, the trip will continue to the Salt Flats, where travelers can enjoy taking pictures, walking on the salt flats, and more.
The round trip covers approximately 100 miles and will take about 1.5 hours each way.

Although we won’t reach record-breaking speeds, those seeking a thrill can enjoy their own racing experience, often reaching speeds of 120 mph—rest assured, it’s completely safe.
