Would recommend - picked up on time and driven to the boat by a friendly and informative team. The boat had a crew of 3, 2 of which were brothers. They took us to the snorkelling and on the way we saw many dolphins who swam right up the side of the boat. We then were taken snorkelling and you could tell the staff really valued our safety, taking a life bouy out with him just in case. We saw a wide array of marine life, such as octopus, eels, starfish, and many other aquatic animals. After snorkelling we were given fresh fruit snd drinks. We then stopped for a traditional Kenyan meal which was delicious. After we stopped at the old slave caves. The tour did not last long but was informative, and when they pump the rest of the cave out I can imagine it’ll be a great tour. Taken back to our accommodation and we all agreed that it was a great day. Would recommend for sure.

Get yourself on this boat! - This was one of the highlights of my trip to Kenya. The Wasini trip boat trip is a snorkelling/boat trip/dolphin extravaganza/lunch. To make matters even sweeter, unlimited soft and alcoholic drinks plus return transfers from your hotel front door. Water is provided for the transfers, and you are taken straight onto the boat on arrival. When you get on the boat, you are offered soda, water and beer before taking off towards the islands. You then get in a few snorkelling sessions and explore for some dolphins before heading on-shore again for lunch and some incredible views. We also had the option to go to tour the Shimona slave caves, which was an extraordinary and humbling experience. The itinerary itself is one that cannot be beat. However, what takes it over the edge are Jomo (Jay) and the incredible guys who run the whole operation. They are so helpful, attentive and willing to go out of their way to get you what you need. More, the amount of languages they speak is mind-blowing - they definitely put the Brits to shame. Their service is top notch. For me, this was incredible. As a solo female traveller, they made sure I was okay throughout the trip, talked to me and educated me about where we were and Kenya in general. They were very knowledgeable, personable people. I felt 100 percent safe at all times - something very important for a lone woman. I would recommend this trip for anyone who visits Kenya. It is an experience in the Indian Ocean that you will not forget. If you are not the best swimmer, that’s fine - they have life-jackets and other inflatables. Just get yourself on this boat.

An Unforgettable Experience with Coral Spirit! - We had the BEST time with Coral Spirit on their Wasini Island Day Trip! I was so impressed with the attention to detail and how accommodating the staff was. They ensured my dietary requirements were met and the food was so tasty! The Wasini Island Tour was spectacular and I wish I could relive it again and again! The landscape is stunning as well as the diversity of marine life in the protected Marine Park. We opted to add a scuba dive onto our trip and it was a great choice! The coral in the Marine Park is in great condition boasting healthy corals, various schools of fish, octopus, sea turtles, and so much more! We were lucky enough to hear the dolphins during our dive as well, which was an unforgettable moment! After our dive, we had the option to join the rest of the group who was snorkeling or relax on the sandbar. We chose to snorkel and were so happy with our decision as we spotted another octopus, various sea anemones, fish, etc. The staff at Coral Spirit ensured we were taken care of from the moment we were picked up at our accommodation to the second we were dropped off. Another major advantage to booking with Coral Spirit is the small group size. Many of the boats we passed were packed with tourists, whereas our boat was spacious and had only 6 tourists. This ensured for a relaxing experience where we were free to move around the boat as we pleased. The boat was also covered, which was a major advantage as well to have shade from the strong sun. I cannot recommend this experience enough! Book with Coral Spirit and you will not be disappointed!

BEST boat trip - .Authentic Kenya magic - This was a truly magical day! My favourite boat trip ever. The whole Coral Spirit team was amazing from start to finish. And swimming with dolphins (and a reef shark, who although ‘friendly’ thankfully I didn’t see whilst in water…) and guided in water by Hamisi was an incredible day experience. Guided and informed compellingly by Captain Jay and so happily entertained with wonderful drumming and singing on the way home followed by the most delicious lunch on the island with stunning views. Recipe for that sensational soup? I think we all snuck in 3 helpings!! followed by such a generous buffet cooked by local ladies and hostessed by lovely Judy, Authentic, charming and couldn’t recommend more highly if want the real Kenyan experience. What a team! THANK YOU Coral Spirit❤️

An okay day out - Most of the day was spent travelling to our destination. 1.5 hours from Diani Beach to the boat, 1 hour to the dive site, 1 hour back to shore then another 1.5 hours back to our hotel. So if you don’t mind that then it’ll be a good day out but 5 hours travelling for a 45 minute dive was disappointing. We went scuba diving and we didn’t see much, but that’s nature, so hardly any fault of the guides. The dive sit is beautiful with crystal clear water but very over crowded with people and I felt our tour boat was too busy ( 26 people ) We spent a lot of time waiting for other people to come back to the boat or to finish their lunch etc The guides were all very good and friendly. There was plenty water, juice, beer and fruits that you can help your self too and the lunch was good. I’d recommend this day trip but maybe only for people who enjoy a slower paced day. For someone who likes keeping busy and enjoys full action then it’s maybe not for you.

A poor experience - Poor experience. Advised by the backpacker's guide (who generally gives good advice), we booked a day trip to Wasini. We already had to contact them on WhatsApp because there was no return on our reservation. On the boat, divers (diving) and snokerlers were mixed (which never happens). Little room on a boat full of both people and equipment. We were squeezed into an uncomfortable boat on which we could hardly move. Waiting time for the various people to equip themselves... On the way out (which we didn't understand) we sailed for an hour then turned around to find ourselves in another place... In short, a crossing far from the scheduled time. Fairly poor seabed. Only lunch was relatively pleasant. In short, we have done excursions like this in other countries, and this is the first time that it has been so unpleasant despite a friendly crew. The price is also well beyond the service.

A FISH LUNCH WITHOUT FISH 😰 - We decided with the group of Italians with whom we made friends to go on this trip together with the hope of finally eating something different!!!... let's say that apart from the hour of snorkelling the rest was a real disaster !...We found ourselves crowded into this pseudo restaurant with the expectation of eating grilled fish and crab and instead they brought us 2 plates of claws without with the empty shell and everything for 9 people + a queue of I don't know which fish that it didn't have much of a grill!!!...among other things, it sold for €75😰...actual value €30 and in my opinion it's still a lot!!!...Terrible!!!...
