Excellent and knowledgeable tour guide - Tyrone (guide) and Chris (driver) were excellent , entertaining and professional. We arrived early and Chris was there to greet us - gave suggestions of where to grab a coffee while we waited. Tyrone was knowledgeable and very personable with everyone on the tour from the little kids, teenagers and the rest of us oldies. He engaged everyone at some point on the tour. It was the perfect tour for us - it was hot and humid and they kept everyone hydrated with plenty of cold water and it was great to be able to cool off on the AC bus in between stops. Tyrone obviously enjoys his work and had a lot of great snippets on all the sites we visited. The morning only was perfect length for us - finished around 12:30pm then time for lunch before we made our way to go up the Monument - best way to get tickets to go up.

James is great! - Absolutely loved the tour with James as our guide and Kris as our driver. It is K R I S as James spelled it for us over and over as I am sure many are spelling his name incorrect in reviews. James is very knowledgeable and sets his expectations with his group (which I like and I know with doing so many tours, he knows people don't listen). We did thr day tour with him on 6/20 and it was a perfect day. Those that complained about not being able to tour on the 250th Army birthday or any other big event, it's WASHINGTON D.C. these events are important, it's your own fault for not doing your research. Anyway, James refreshed us on American history and gave us a few tips on getting around the city as well. Since we were on a tight schedule, I couldn't think of any questions to ask but I would definitely hope to have him as my guide again for a different tour one day. P.S. We booked this through Expedia and this was the title of our tour but obviously cherry blossom season was over. We had the sightseeing tour with river boat tickets.

Must see at least once. - We were late for peak bloom. There were still many blossoms to see though. The weather was great though. Be prepared to walk though. There are busses that you can get hop on and off but they are expensive. DC is very expensive.

Well-Organized and Insightful DC Experience - This tour was one of the best ways I’ve experienced DC—well-paced, well-run, and full of information I hadn’t heard before, even as someone who grew up just across the river in Virginia. The guide clearly knew the city inside and out and shared stories that brought each stop to life. The transitions between locations were smooth, and the route itself was planned with care. Every stop gave us time to take in the sights without feeling rushed. The tour isn’t just for first-time visitors. If you’ve been to DC before, you’ll still walk away learning something new. And the chance to go up inside the Washington Monument is a great bonus that most tours don’t offer. Highly recommend.

Highly recommended tour!! - Tour was fantastic. We saw literally everything and Sally and Chris were so knowledgeable and helpful. My only suggestion is have some chips or cookies on the bus. I was starving by the end.

Definitely worth taking this tour. - This is such a great tour. James, the tour guide, was very knowledgeable. The tour was not rushed and we saw so many monuments. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone. My tour finished with a lift up to the top of the Washington Memorial. What a great view up there. Definitely worth going.

Epic DC Tour - The Guided Tour of DC and the going to the top of the Washington Monument was fabulous. But the best thing about the tour was our guide Tyrone. He was smart, funny, knowledgeable and approachable.

"Washington Monument Ticket" does not mean transporation to the monument - Our guides were enjoyable and accessible during the tour. It was a quiet time to go, and the weather was pleasant. We did see all of the attractions listed in the itinerary, but I was disappointed that although this is advertised as a Washington Monument tour, we were responsible for getting there on our own. We were given our mobile tickets 30 minutes before, and when the bus stopped at the White House, we were told that was the end of the line for us. We walked to the monument, and because this was at the end of a morning with a lot of walking, it was an unpleasant surprise. It would have been nice if we were advised that transportation to the Washington Monument was not included. The itinerary / information about the tour does not address this.

Half of the tour was cancelled without notice - We booked this tour, the main reason being because we wanted to enjoy a trip to the top of the Washington Monument. However, nearing the end of the tour, which was the stated "admission highlight", the tour guide couldn't take us to the monument, for reasons which he didn't make clear, and offered a boat ride as compensation. In my view, this should have been announced at the beginning of the trip, with a money back offer.
