Highlights
  • Eisenhower Executive Office Building - Harry Truman called it America’s greatest monstrosity. Mark Twain referred to it as the ugliest building in America. Regardless, it is considered the most haunted office building in America, and on this tour you will get to find out why!
  • Decatur House - The home of Stephen Decatur. During his time, he was one of the nation’s most celebrated naval commanders. Many of his political friends were certain that Stephen Decatur would become president. And, who knows, maybe he could have been. But James Barron kind of ruined those chances, and you’re here to find out how!
  • Lafayette Square - Where trees, paths, and statues now lay, these grounds used to house a graveyard, a racetrack, a zoo, and an apple orchard. Some even speculate that a slave market was held here. You can only imagine the wealth of history and hauntings that exist in the illustrious Lafayette Square, but thanks to this tour your imagination won’t be all you have!

Fun, ghostly, fact-filled tour - The tour was great. We received a ton of information. Mike, our guide, was awesome. Super super nice and very informative. The meeting spot was easy to find and the tour was a good length. Personally, I loved hearing all the little details about certain spots. At the end, Mike walked with us back to the meeting spot so we could walk back to our hotel. He's overall a very nice guy.

Rain or Shine It's Great! - Mckenna was a great tour guide! She was engaging, included the whole group and just told great stories. It even started raining and she had an extra umbrella, led us to all the sheltered places to stop and talk and overall still made it a really positive experience!

Worth the cold - It was really cold and windy, but our host made it worth it to stick out the tour to the end. The stories and local lore surrounding the buildings was interesting and would recommend to friends. Just go on a warmer night
