Here’s how it works: You and your team will work together to find clues, solve puzzles, and ultimately complete a mission. Escaping will require teamwork, communication, wits, a sense of adventure, and most importantly: YOU!
Choose to play one of four uniquely immersive games:
- Prison Break: Complete a daring escape from the evil warden!
- Special Ops: Mysterious Market: Uncover the truth as a secret agent!
- The Heist: Recover a stolen masterpiece from an art thief!
- The Depths: Go on an underwater mission in a submarine!

Situated in the heart of Washington DC, adjacent to Penn Quarter, these unique adventures provide an unparalleled high-end experience. By following hints and solving riddles, complete your joint quest. You may find a way out…But you are bound to have a good time!
You have the option to embark on one of four deeply engaging games:
- Prison Break: Outwit the merciless warden and craft a daring escape!
- Special Ops: Mysterious Market: Unveil the truth in your role as a covert operative!
- The Heist: Retrieve a pilfered masterpiece from a connoisseur of stolen art!
- The Depths: Undertake a subaqueous mission aboard a submarine!
- Games are recommended for ages 13 and up. Younger players are allowed, but some of the game content may be too difficult for them. An adult, 18 or older, must participate with anyone that is 14 and under. Also, any participants under the age of 18 will need an adult to sign their waiver.
- You will be in a room with a locked door, but every door is equipped with an exit button. Should you feel the need to leave the room, you are welcome to do so at any time.
- Each game is designed for one hour of intense fun! Plan to spend 15 minutes prior to each game preparing and briefing for your mission, and 15 minutes after each game to debrief and take photos.
- The Escape Game experiences are very different from what you typically see in other escape rooms. These games aren’t scary or dark. They are exciting, adventurous, and something all guests can enjoy.
- Unless you book all the spots in a game, our games have the potential to be shared experiences, which means others could book into your game and join your team.

Great themes and room design. - The room was very elaborate and provided a lot of great interaction with the team to work together. The theme was engaging and allowed players of all ages to help contribute in solving the puzzles.

The Escape Game downtown is a must see! - Jayla was awesome. She gave me a birthday present. And the other Jayla did a great job getting our room set. We did Prison Break. It was based loosely on Shawshank Redemption, my favorite movie. They also gave us a preview tour of Spec Ops which looked amazing! If you like escape rooms, The Escape Game has great choices. I give them a 9 for prop decoration, a 7 for puzzles, and a 10 for customer service.

Good family fun. - Fabulous overall experience. Family of three with young teen and we did the Heist room. We arrived early into the lobby where we were welcomed by friendly staff. Doug took us to the room and got us oriented. There’s a basket for your personal belongs/ purses/ phones if you so choose in the room that’s out of the way of the game. We talked it over and decided that Doug would only give us a clue if we hit the ‘help’ button in the room. Doug answered our questions then started the video to explain the game. It was rated an 8/10 and we would all agree with that. This was our fourth escape room so we had some experience but this was absolutely the best put together one we have been to. Clues that (retrospectively) were obvious but we had to work for them and there were a lot of steps involved. Traditional escape room problems (puzzles, locks, ciphers) and some unique twists. We got stuck a few times and hit the button in the room to ask for a clue. At one point towards the end I shouted out ‘what do we do now’ but Doug stuck to our deal and didn’t give us a clue because we hadn’t hit the button. We got out with 1:30 left (with help).
—would suggest more than 3 people in order to divide tasks if you hardcore want to escape without help

We escaped! - Escape Game has the most high tech escape rooms! It was so fun figuring out the puzzles. We had a great time and escaped! We bought gift cards for next time.

Fun - It was fun. We only needed a few clues. We did the art heist one which was rated at 8/10 difficulty and that feels right.

Super fun puzzle - We did The Heist room and had Jonathan as our guide. It was outstanding! He was a great guide and the puzzle was perfectly challenging and rewarding (for two adults and a 10 year old). Highly recommended

Fun but got sick afterwards. Bring hand sanitizer!!! - Great fun - however, my partner and I both got very sick with stomach bug 6 hours after doing the escape room. Neither of us had gone outside for over a day other than the Escape room event (we both work from home). So time have been germs picked up while hitting buttons in the escape room.
