Open Top Bus Worth the $ - We really enjoyed our tour guide and driver Chris. He was so knowledgeable as well as very kind. At each stop he gave us information followed by time to walk around and take pictures . We never felt rushed and the open top was really a unique experience. I am not usually one to spend this much but this tour is worth the extra money.

The tour itself is great, the TOURGOD makes it 100x better! - You know how most of us having those boring jobs, the same routine, day in and day out? Nick the Tour God at USA Guided Tours has one of those too, but that doesn't get him down. Despite the fact that he's seeing the same spots, day after day, dealing with traffic while trying to give a tour at the same time, this guy just gets it. It's one thing to lead a tour full of facts and oddball stats, but this guy is absolutely passionate about it, and his years of experience have paid off and made him a freaking star. The tour itself needs nothing extra to be well worth it, but Nick made sure to make it well worth your money.

Amazing Tour - This tour was outstanding!! Our tour guide Terry and driver Ali were both wonderful! Terry was so knowledgeable about the monuments and city itself. Both Terry and Ali made sure we had enough time to see everything at each monument, so we didn’t miss anything. Terry even offered to take pics of your group if you wanted her to! In terms of COVID, they made sure everyone had their masks on while on the bus, the group was very small and we were spread out on the bus. They had bottled water that you could take from a cooler while getting on or off at each stop. I could not recommend this tour enough!! A great way to see all the monuments and learn so much about each one!

Knowledgeable guide. ... - Knowledgeable guide. Only saw one side of the capitol because the bus was late getting back to us after visiting a monument

Underwhelming - A couple less stops to give more time at each. He starts the clock, finishes talking, tells everyone to stay together but then by the time we get out to the site, it’s been 10 minutes and we’ve only got 5 minutes left.

Thanksgiving Tour - This was a good tour but I gave it a three for a few reasons. Their web site shows gorgeous pictures of the White House lit up at night. In reality, you don't get even close to the White House. They take you to an open field and the White house is at lease half a mile away and looks crowded between buildings. The Capital is also quite a distance away but you get a better picture because it's an open field. A couple of the monuments weren't lit, although this wasn't the tour guides fault but it was disappointing. The tour guides did know their stuff and were very accomodating so that helped.

I truly cannot recommend this tour. - I have travelled extensively and love taking guided coach tours as a way to learn interesting and/or lesser known facts about an area and its history. When en route from one stop to the next on this particular tour, the guide was silent 80% or 90% of the time. What spiel he had to give, he gave at each site, making passengers decide between exploring the monument/memorial or standing in a cluster to listen to what he had to say. The stops never allotted more than 20 minutes, but often less time, from disembarking to re-boarding the bus. The guide and driver were obviously not used to working together, as I gathered by overhearing a few their conversations, during one of which the guide asked the driver repeatedly for her phone number, which she was compelled to repeat three times, each time more loudly than the last, until I'm fairly certain every passenger heard it. I must say that the bus driver did an excellent job maneuvering such a large vehicle smoothly and safely through such busy streets. As a person already fairly familiar with Washington, D.C., the bare bones information provided by the tour guide did less disservice to me than to anyone who may have been visiting this gorgeous city for the first time. I also found it unseemly for the guide to have emphatically solicited for tips as we returned to the Navy Memorial. The sign on the wall of the bus that informed guests that tips were accepted and split evenly should have been left to stand on its own. I truly cannot recommend this tour.

Just a ride from place to place with almost no commentary - I expected some commentary related to history of the visited places (and perhaps some trivia), but that barely happened. As a foreigner I don't feel I learned much at this trip. Perhaps this tour is better suited for Americans, who learned all these things in school and now just want to visit memorials? Thomas, our guide, and the driver were basically taking us to all the spots and gave us 15-20 minutes at each place to visit them by our own. So it's more like an Uber taking you from place to place rather than a "guided tour". Disappointing experience, overall.
