Highlights
  • Garrick - We start at the start - the start of the Bubonic Plague outbreak that is!
  • Town Hall Stratford upon Avon - Still on the corner of Sheep Street and High Street, learn about the ghost from the Civil War days.
  • Shakespeare’s New Place - We will stand here and marvel at a building that hasn’t been there or hundreds of years and hear the story of how a murder was committed to get ownership of the building.
  • Shakespeare’s Schoolroom & Guildhall - You might think you had a hard time at school, but it’s nothing compared to what you have had to endure in the 16th Century, and oh my word, what a view you’d have had out of the window….
  • Hall’s Croft - Shakespeare’s eldest daughter married the only doctor in town, but would treatment from John Hall kill or cure you?
  • Holy Trinity Church - Enter the churchyard? Or should we just stand outside to hear some of the most gruesome tales of the residents?
  • Chain Ferry - As we pass by the River Avon, please remember the Health and Safety briefing and don’t fall in! But if you do, you won’t be the first to have met a watery grave in Stratford….
  • Royal Shakespeare Theatre - We walk along the banks of the Avon and you’ll hear stories of the river and learn about the special local significance of September the 21st!
  • Lambs - Peer down the ancient court and hear one final tragic tale of witchcraft and murder.
  • The Platinum Jubilee Tree - And we’re back at the start point, well done if you made it all the way around!
  • Stratford-upon-Avon - Passby Tudor World. They claim to be the most haunted building in England, but there are terrors all around…..

Great value and perfectly presented - An hour and a half of entertainment for a tenner. That’s not bad! Joe was a brilliant guide - funny, full of facts and a few tall tales as we walked around Stratford. Joe pointed out some key parts of the local history and was an animated story teller. My teenage girls really enjoyed it - an endorsement of ever there was one! Great value for money and a great way to learn a bit about Stratford.

Extremely Entertaining - Very entertaining tour. Host was engaging and very customer focused. Two people were late, he called them and sent a pin so they could join. He even offered to recount what they’d missed at the end. My wife, two teenage daughters, and I thoroughly enjoyed the walk and stories
