Highlights
  • Warrenton - Discover where to purchase fish and crabs directly from the boats. We’ll also take a 15-minute drive out to the South Jetty.
  • Peter Iredale Ship Wreck - The Peter Iredale was a four-masted steel bark that ran aground on October 25, 1906, on the Oregon coast while heading to the Columbia River. The ship was abandoned on Clatsop Spit near Fort Stevens in Warrenton, about four miles (6 km) south of the Columbia River channel. Today, the wreckage remains visible and is a popular tourist attraction, being one of the most accessible shipwrecks in the Graveyard of the Pacific.
  • Battery Russell - This historical landmark is one of nine batteries at Fort Stevens and was operational for forty years, from 1904 to 1944. Fort Stevens was in service for 84 years, from the Civil War to WWII. It is named after Bvt Major General David Russell, who fought in the Civil War.
  • Ocean View Cemetery - This is part of the Tour of Astoria, focusing on individuals who were relocated, discovered, and restored.
  • Big Game Fishing - Learn about crabbing, fishing, and the legal requirements from Big Game Fishing.
  • The Lewis And Clark National And State Historical Parks - The Lewis and Clark Expedition camped at Fort Clatsop in the Oregon Country near the mouth of the Columbia River during the winter of 1805–1806. It was their final campsite before starting their return journey east to St. Louis. They spent the winter at Fort Clatsop from December 8, 1805, until their departure on March 23, 1806, taking a little over three weeks to build the fort.
  • High Life Adventures Zip Line Tours - Observe the locations for zip lining and axe throwing as we drive through the park.
