- Warburton Cricket Club - Experience the thrill of floating down the Upper Yarra River on a river sled in this exciting outdoor adventure! This 2-hour excursion spans 3 km downstream, navigating through twists and rapids, combining leisurely floats with active segments that require paddling, maneuvering, and agility.
The adventure begins at the Warburton oval with a briefing and demonstration, followed by a shuttle ride upstream. Participants will have up to 1.5 hours to explore the river at their own pace. Our specially designed sleds are 2m long, nearly indestructible, crafted for shallow rivers, easy to control, suitable for adults, and appropriate for children aged 8 and above.
This is an authentic Australian adventure not to be missed, but keep in mind—the Yarra is a natural river, not a theme park. Conditions change daily, and natural obstacles like rocks, branches, and logs may require paddling or standing to navigate. If swimming is not a strong suit, consider hiring a river guide.
All participants must be able to swim. Children must be accompanied by a paying adult or river guide. Closed-toe shoes or water booties are recommended, and PFDs are mandatory for weak swimmers and advised for children.

The adventure begins at the Warburton football oval, where a briefing and an upstream shuttle service are provided.
