Worth it - We found the stories about the enslaved people very interesting and tragic. Our shuttle driver Jay was super friendly and gave us some interesting information about New Orleans

A Memorable Trip - This is a somber and educational tour. The experience will stay with you long after you've left. The calm, picturesque plantation has a haunted past worth visiting and learning about. Our package included transportation to the site, entry, and an audio guided tour available in different languages. Definitely worth it for those looking for something different outside of NOLA.

Historical - Just being able to walk and see where all the people were living and how they had to live and what they endured. Very interesting, I would go again, I would have loved to have had more time there.

Very Informative - I highly recommend visiting this plantation, the background and details given are heart wrenching . You will look at the world a lot differently when you are finished the tour. The plantation itself is easy to navigate. The grounds are well maintained and any one with difficulties walking would have very little issues here. there are places to rest and spots for shade , they have refreshments and snack in the gift shop. As well as many great hand crafted free trade items and many books on Black history. Our driver from 2nd Line Tours was Kerry, he was a great guy and made the trip out of the city very enjoyable!

I give the Whitney Plantation fives stars out of five stars - I like the fact that the Whitney Plantation focused on the lives of the enslaved, rather than the owners of the plantation. Our bus driver is knowledgeable and he shared some wonderful stories about the plantation and some of the films that were shot near the Whitney Plantation including my favorite movie “Forest Gump” and “Django Unchained”. I would recommend this tour to everyone.

Must see. - This is the only plantation tour that focuses on the lives of the enslaved peoples that built this country. It is not to be missed. The Whitney Plantation/Institute has guided tours and I wish there were an option for transport to one of these tours rather than the (still good) self tour.

Your the WHITNEY PLANTATION!!! - Interesting audio tour. Amazing details! 2 hrs is very conservative estimate if you plan to read all engravings and the museum exhibits. Might be better to have a live tour guide to ask questions of. Those with live tour guide had access to mansion upstairs too.
