Worth it!!! - Wow, what an amazing time! The tour is sad and intense. The narration is very well done. We learned a lot from the perspective of the enslaved people. We then had lunch between the plantation tour and the swamp. The swamp tour was a great way to lighten the mood. We saw quite a few alligators! I recommend this tour.

Great experience - Brian was a super friendly and charismatic guide - and that laugh is one of a kind! He was knowledgeable and so helpful with recommendations. The Whitney Plantation and Airboat Swamp Tour was very enjoyable, and Crescent City made getting there and back a breeze.

Shout out to Brian and Whitney - Brian is a legendary tour guide who makes the journey as good as the trips. Definitely recommend the whitney tour rather than old oak as it focuses through the eyes of the slaves. Airboat was great fun and good to see a few gators this early in the year. All well organised and a simple day.

Great combined tour - This is one of the only companies to combine attractions and at competitive rates. The Whitney Plantation is the first museum of slavery in the U.S. it has deservedly received much praise and media attention. I have always wanted to do an airboat tour and was not disappointed. This company take you through genuine swamps and the guides are very informative.

So fun! - Our tour guide from Crescent City Tours was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and made the drive enjoyable between all the stops. The airboat tour was also a really cool thing to experience. So glad that I booked the double tour!

JUST BOOK THE TRIP!!!!!!!! - Brian has an awesome character and a very infectious laugh! I’m so glad that he’s our tour guide! Man’s really funny and even if you don’t get any of his jokes, his laugh alone will make you LOL! The Whitney Plantation’s my top reason why I visited NOLA in the first place! The self-guided audio tour’s awesome so you won’t have to worry about booking this tour with a tour guide from the vicinity. Warning: since you’re visiting a plantation, especially with children, please make sure to tell them to practice proper behavior. I happened to be listening intently to my audio guide, but seeing a couple of kids running and screaming around and having no respect or consideration to the property is unacceptable. What’s worse was that their parents didn’t even bother to get their attention! Soooo incredibly disrespectful to others! It’s nice to do an airboat swamp tour right after the heavy emotional tour from the plantation! Since it’s winter time, we rarely seen any gators! So glad to have seen 2! Overall, this combo tour is so worth every buck! Just book it! And if you can, ask for Brian!!! He’s the best!!!

Fantastic Tour - A Must! - Great way to visit the Whitney Plantation and a fun airboat ride to cap off the day. We were picked up outside our hotel at 8am (no extra cost) by our great tour guide, Brian. Props to him, he was fun, energetic, and had a great scooby doo impression on top of delivering great facts and knowledge along our drives. After a few other hotel stops we were on our way by 8:30. A roughly 1 hour drive later we made it to Whitney ( half of the rest of the group went to Laura via same bus). At Whitney you take a self guided audio tour and walk the grounds. While the grounds are beautiful its a somber experience all should learn about. Whitney tells the story from the slave perspective. After about 2 hours Brian picked us up and we drove by a few of the other plantations to get a quick peak (including Laura). We then made our way to Oak Alley for a beautiful view of the Oak trees in front. We bought lunch here (sandwiches, chips, desserts), and got some delicious fresh made pralines and toffee (made in house) as well as some souvenirs in the gift shop. At 1245 we boarded the bus and drove about 40 minutes to the swamp area where our air boat tour was. We took the large boat and thought that was great (small boat would be fun but not worth extra money in my opinion). We did about 90 minutes or so on the water and that was very fun and perfect amount of time. We did see a gator and a bunch of little pigs. Great experience! Brian then picked us up and had us back at our hotel around 4:30. Great, well organized tour. Worth the money and a must on any trip to New Orelans!
