Additional Information

Our jeep excursions provide the opportunity to explore a wealth of fascinating locations, and venture to the distant attractions within Wadi Rum. Additionally, our full-day journey grants you the chance to soak up the majestic desert vistas throughout the day, from your vantage point atop a jeep (equipped with comfortable seating and canopies for shade). You’ll have the pleasure of dining in the desert at a scenic location. Toward the close of day, we pause either en route to marvel at a stunning desert sunset or you can appreciate it from our Bedouin encampment, where you’ll settle in for the evening.

In the encampment, you’ll witness the preparation of our indigenous cuisine, cooked in the ground, and subsequently served as part of an extensive dinner buffet. Afterward, gather around the fire for conversation, queries about our culture or the desert, and a background of Bedouin music played on the oud - dancing is optional but encouraged! Subsequently, bask in the tranquility and stargaze. Following a sumptuous buffet breakfast the subsequent morning, we escort you back to the settlement.

Truly amazing - We were guided around by Eid who also turns out to have a hidden talent for cooking as he made us some fabulous home cooked style food for lunch each day in the middle of nowhere. A great character with truly intimate knowledge of the entire area. The pictures and memories that we have from this trip will last forever. Also a nod to Eid's son for guiding us to the top of Burdah Rock Bridge and back. Thank you soo much for this fantastic trip.

Eid, you made our trip unforgettable and cannot thank you enough, please book your experience with WWR and ask for Eid. - Booked a 2 day 3 night tour (arrived late first day) on arrival the weather wasn't great unfortunately, it rained in the desert! So the camp rearranged our tour without hesitation and provided the most incredible trip! We had Eid as our driver and he just made the whole trip, he is an absolute credit to Wild Wadi Rum and the most beautiful person I have met while travelling, he made us feel so at home and so welcomed it actually brought a tear to my eyes, honestly I have never felt so at home while away. He shown us all his favourite spots in the desert and cooked the most delicious homemade family recipes while on the road that were absolutely delicious and I am craving his soup right now!! Oh the soup was incredible. His view points were breathtaking and so very quiet, we saw 2 other tourists while out. He recommended lots of sites and things to do places to go, off the beaten track spots and the usual tourist spots as well. He was just so genuinely caring it really shines through in his tour. I honestly cannot recommend WWR enough, if you do book a trip with them please, please ask for Eid. He also arranged for his son to take us to the Burdah rock bridge climb (very hard climb) and his son is clearly going to be an incredible guide also which is natural when you have such a beautiful and passionate person as a father. We cannot thank you enough Eid! You made our whole experience absolutely incredible and unforgettable. If you are looking for a company to book your Wadi Rum trip look no further! They have a camp as well that I have reviewed separately. You will not be disappointed. I cannot add photos for some reason.

Beautiful sceneries - nature and hikes for the win! - We had 2 nights and asked for adapted planning, cause we arrived late after Petra, wanted an airballoon trip and be back at 2pm on the second day cause we had the train to catch at 3pm. Everything was adapted accordingly. We had the father, Eid, as a guide. He has 35 years of experience and you could tell cause the first day we only saw one other jeep and had beautiful sceneries, not the typical tourist places. The second day, the son Salman slept in his jeep to make sure we were picked up on time from the camp for the airballoon trip. We started our half day tour at their family home after the airballoon. Since I quickly run out of sugar and energy, Eid gave me a full box of mamoul cookies with dates. The half day tour we did the tourist places since it's nice to see but no explanation needed. Even at these places he tries to give you another angle for the views. Great experience!!!

Wonderful experience of culture and Jordanian desert icons - This was a wonderful, though busy, day exploring the Wadi Rum. You just go from one experience/site to the next. And such variety. But despite the heat (it was 33C+) after nearly each adventure, you stop in a Bedouin tent for complimentary desert tea - sweet or not. And remarkably there's a breeze! so refreshing. Hold on to your hat because the fresh air breezing past (even though you're probably only doing 40-60km/h) is great. Ahmed and his extended family connect all the dots - settling down in a quite shaded canyon for a 2hr cooked lunch (traditional stew with bread & salad etc. - or vegetarian if you ask), water all the time you need it, and comfy accommodation, then help the next day with onward transport! Definitely a great experience.

An amazing experience never to be forgotten. - This was a once in a lifetime type of experience. You will never see another place on earth like Wadi Rum. We had no expectations as to what or how the trip would pan out and we were not disappointed. From the initial contact, keeping us informed of meeting points and any possible changes due to Eid. We dropped off our things and then Hussein, our driver, took us on a remarkable tour of Wadi Rum. The scenery was amazing and the views from the rocks and canyons even more so. Stopped off for lunch and a rest, then back on the trail again. So many stops and so many surprises. Hussein found a quiet spot to stop to watch the sunset and lit a fire to make some tea before we headed back to the Bedouin camp for dinner and our overnight stay. Amazing hospitality and wonderful dinner, followed by an overnight stop in our Bedouin accommodation. Next morning after a shower and freshen up we had a nice breakfast before heading back to the village. All in all a wonderful experience which will never be forgotten. If you are coming to Jordan then this is a must. The photos will never do it justice but we will always have the memories.

BEST EXPERIENCE EVER - BOOK IT - Where do I even begin? What an experience. I literally could write a phd project on how good this experience was, from the people, to the food, to the things we saw, the pictures we took, the sleep we got. There’s no doubt in my mind that me and my friend hit JACKPOT, when choosing this tour. Firstly the people. So nice and caring, they talk English very well and make you understand what you’re seeing and if there’s any questions they answer them with the best explanation. You get the real Bedouin experience in the camp because of the tents, beds and the local food, omg the food was amazing!!! 😍 3 times a day, you’ll always start your day full and sleep like a baby after a good dinner. The tea was also amazing. I would like to highlight 3 people who made this journey what it was and made it an unforgettable experience. Jaber firstly, our tour guide. Amazing amazing man! Professional, very good at explaining what’s happening, what we’re seeing and he knows the best locations to watch the sunset and starts at night! Secondly, Hossain. The host of the event, what a nice man, I’ve never met so humble and down to earth man in my life. Him being Bedouin and explaining him and his families story made the trip 1000x more worth it and enjoyable. Seriously I could go on and on, even in details but I don’t want to spoil it for you guys who’re reading this. Dear “reader” if you’re reading this and thinking about booking, do it! RIGHT NOW, you’ll NOT regret it. It will be a once in a lifetime experience. Thank you so much everyone and wild Wadi Rum camp, me and my friends are so grateful for your amazing hospitality, kindness and professionalism. Regards, the 3 guys from Denmark

The best Wadi Rum tours you will find - Undoubtedly the best Wadi Rum tours you will find - Salman and his beautiful family make you instantly feel like home and well taken care of. We went for the two day trip with camel ride and the whole day jeep tour. Local bedouin food was delicious, the camp hidden in a cosy corder of the desert had neat bathrooms and shower, and private tents and living space were traditionally decorated and spacious. The tour itself was well organised and we had plenty of time to enjoy every location in the desert. The family puts a personal touch to every part of the experience (such as sons playing traditional music after the dinner), everyone we met were extremely kind. I wholeheartedly recommend them and will definitely return again.

Best part of Jordan - I would enthusiastically recommend Salman and his family. His older brother looked after us throughout the day. His younger brother Sayed led us up on one of the treks and was a very happy and enthusiastic 10 year old. Salman's father played the guitar around the campfire at night and Salman drove us back the next morning. So it really is a family affair. Also we booked the wrong date and only discovered it AFTER the booked date had passed. I contacted Salman who agreed (at no charge) to more the date and honour the booking. He really didn't need to do that but it was much appreciated. Also his little girl (1 year old) is a sweetie!
