Full-day Jeep tour with lunch, dinner, breakfast, and overnight in the private panoramic tent with a desert view

Wadi Rum Village - Your desert adventure starts from the Wadi Rum village, which is the home of many local Bedouins. Our meeting point is at the first cafeteria in the Wadi Rum village, which you can see on the right side of the road when you arrive at the village. If you come with a car, there is free parking available for you as well. Once you and others attending the tour are welcomed by our guide, we start the jeep tour around 10:00.

Lawrence’s Spring - This little oasis in the Wadi Rum desert is the real source of life! Here you can see the miraculous view of cool water running down the mountains - in the middle of the desert. In this natural oasis, you can see numerous camels enjoying the fresh water, beside the mountain calling you for a quick hike to overlook the ancient inscriptions from the Thamud era.

Jebel Khazali - Khazali Canyon takes you on a journey back in time by millennia. It’s a narrow canyon inside the mountain, full of inscriptions made by ancient Nabateans and Thamuds. For centuries, it has been the rest and meeting point for the Egyptian camel caravans and pilgrims on their way to Mecca. Step into the canyon, and feel its unique vibes; You can almost hear the ancient ones in this amazing hidden place, inside the huge mountain!

Wadi Rum Protected Area - Red Sand Dune - This huge sand dune is on our tour in the morning for a reason! When you see it, you want to walk on it, and that’s probably not so easy! The dune is so red because its sand is birthed from the red rocks of Wadi Rum around it. From the top, you have great views of the surrounding desert, so take your camera with you to capture the moment. When you want to come down, just run, and have some fun!

Wadi Rum Protected Area - Little Bridge - This natural rock formation is the smallest bridge in the Wadi Rum desert, and it’s easiest to climb on. From the bridge, you can see far into the desert, having a great view of its rocks and dunes. Try it! Under the bridge, you can find a Bedouin tent, where traditional tea is waiting for you before your next stage.

Lawrence’s House - This place, nowadays called Lawrence’s House, is the old stop for caravans from the Nabatean era, and it’s built on their ancient water cistern. Its current name this house has got from the legend that T.E. Lawrence stayed here during the Arab Revolt. Near, you can still see the Nabataean inscriptions that mention the area’s ancient name of Iram.

Wadi Rum Protected Area - Mushroom Rock - The mushroom rock is one of the attractions that you definitely must see when you visit Wadi Rum! It’s a mushroom-shaped natural rock formation formed by centuries of wind and rain and used as a shelter from the burning sun by local Bedouins. Take some pics and have fun here! You can find some souvenirs from the Bedouin tent beside and rest a while in the shadow.

Wadi Rum Protected Area - Traditional Bedouin Lunch Served in the Desert - Bedouins have prepared their food in the desert on the campfire for generations. We will stop at some peaceful and wild place in the Wadi Rum desert, and you’ll dive deep into the Bedouin culture by enjoying the traditional Bedouin lunch cooked there on the fire. The menu can vary depending on the season, but the warm meal includes vegetables, bread, hummus, yogurt, and other local treats. While your guide is cooking, you can just relax and enjoy the atmosphere or explore the surrounding area.

Wadi Rum Protected Area - Burdah Rock Bridge - Burdah rock bridge is one of the highest natural rock bridges in the world, so it’s like a miracle itself. It locates on the top of Jabal Burdah, and we will stop the Jeep at a close place, from where we can see it. Because it really is one of the highest natural rock bridges in the world, it’s so far away and at a high that climbing there is not possible during the tour.

Wadi Rum Protected Area - Abu Khashaba Canyon - It’s like another world inside of the desert. In this narrow valley, which is surrounded by mountains, you can see numerous trees, birds, and plants, which makes it an oasis for the local animals. Because of its unique, natural environment, you can hear countless birds chirping there and feel the peace prevails. During our tour, you’ll walk through the canyon, and your guide is waiting for you on the other side. The walk usually takes 30 to 45 minutes, and if it happens you can’t walk, you can peek in the canyon with your guide and continue with a Jeep.

Wadi Rum Protected Area - Umm Fruth Rock Bridge - This bridge is the most famous and probably the most beautiful bridge in Wadi Rum, known well for the enviable and stunning photos taken from there. The bridge is 15 meters tall. You can climb on it and let your guide capture the moment in the photo while you’re on top! Here as well, you can rest a while in the shadow of the Bedouin tent and buy some souvenirs if you like.

Wadi Rum Protected Area - White Desert - Here, in the south of Wadi Rum, you can see how the red desert switches its color to white. In the White Desert, you can see more plants and have better possibilities to spot wild animals than in other places, so look closely! The color of the white sand originates from the rocks, which are whiter. It’s a magical experience to see the vast desert in multiple colors at one glance!

Wadi Rum Protected Area - Sunset - In Wadi Rum, you can admire one of the most breathtaking sunsets on the globe! Before the sunset, you’ll be driven to the secluded area, having a full panoramic view of the stunning sunset. There, we will prepare a sweet Bedouin tea for you at the campfire while you’re resting and witnessing the unforgettable sunset of the Wadi Rum desert.

Wadi Rum Protected Area - Traditional Bedouin Dinner - After sunset, the tour ends at our Bedouin camp where we’ve prepared a delicious traditional Bedouin dinner for you. The dinner is made underground by the fire, which gives this traditional food its well-cooked and unique taste. Before we start to eat, you’ll see how the food is taken from its underground oven! The food consists of chicken, rice, potatoes, several types of vegetables, salad, bread, and other local treats by season.

Wadi Rum Protected Area - Stargazing and Tea at the Campfire - Bedouins have gathered around the campfire in the evenings for centuries, for telling stories, maintaining relationships, and relaxing with sweet tea. Tonight, you will do the same! You can witness the beauty of the night sky of Wadi Rum and its millions of stars. From the campfire place, when the evening goes on, you can see the Milky Way, several planets, and falling stars, depending on the phase of the moon and season. It’s a perfect end for the adventurous day before entering the comfort of your panoramic tent!

Traditional Breakfast and returning to the Wadi Rum village

Wadi Rum Protected Area - Traditional Breakfast - After a well-slept night, you’ll wake up from the comfort of your tent, admiring a panoramic view of the Wadi Rum desert. We’ve prepared for you a traditional breakfast (usually served 07:00 - 08:30) including eggs, bread, hummus, salad, and other local treats based on the season, with tea and coffee.

Very custom tailored and personal experience - Salem, a local Bediun from Wadi Rum, took us on a lovely tour through the valley. We were basically taken to "suggested" places in the area with his 4x4. We were also able to amend the destinations to our needs. Everything happened at our own pace. In the end we surfed some dunes like a "magic carpet ride" on a carpet being pulled on a rope by his 4x4. (Not sure this was part of the tour though) His family is very nice and fun to hang around with. I can definitely suggest staying at his camp not only because he is a great host, but compared to other camps his is among the cleanest of them all. The way he runs his camp seems to be very sustainable in terms of nature and tourism and gave us a great impression overall.

One tribe, one family - My time in Wadi Rum was the best time in Jordan. The desert, the stars and what made it better were the bedouins: 1 tribe, 1 family. Their hospitality is amazing, the kind way they treat each other is something to learn from. They will help you with whatever they can and inquire about your wishes. They're flexible and organized with arrival times. I was invited at a wedding which happened to be the first night of my stay. During the day I had done a 3-hour camel tour which was beautiful. I asked where I could pray and Salem opened up his house for me (I am muslim). I stayed another day for the 1-day jeep tour. Even though I got sick the night before, this tour was amazing too. The bedouins were patient with me. And at the end Salem brought me to the bus and as I am stepping in the bus he hands me a bag of fruits for a healthy recovery. I tried to give him a tip for this, but he wouldn't accept it and said: "This is from me." SubhanAllah, what a great people. Shukran my brother Salem and to your nephew Fil Fil. Ma assalama.

No 23 visitor - I booked a 3-hour Jeep trip prior to the night at the desert camp. I was running about 5 minutes late, but eventually found the correct location inside the Wadi Rum Village (beyond the most common meeting points at the entrance). The Jeep ride was rough but awesome, clearly taking me to the most popular sites close to the village. The sunset in the desert accompanied by some sweet bedouin tea was especially amazing! It is very spectacular to sleep a night in a rudimentary "tent", where one side of the "building" is just glass, exposing the night sky to you. You don't mind going to bed at 8pm when this is what you see. The only downside was that due to the current situation, fighter jets went by approximately every 15 minutes. The dinner and breakfast were good, and you weren't left craving for anything more. Welcome to Wadi Rum is a unique, very exciting and thrilling experience!

Amazing Wadi Rum tour experience! - Our host Salem met us at the village entrance and welcomed us into his home for tea. He introduced to Mohammad, our tour guide for the day. He did an excellent job taking us to each place on the itinerary. Some of our favorite parts were the canyon with ancient inscriptions, climbing a sand dune and rocky terrain, picture opportunities, and a wonderful location to climb up and watch the sunset. We appreciated how it was structured but also allowed for time to explore at each location. The camp was set up well with a central gathering/eating area, nice panoramic tents, bathrooms, area to sit around a fire. Salem was a wonderful and welcoming host, who organized everything, including cooking dinner for us and sitting around the campfire with us. We highly recommend this tour!

Amazing experience in the desert - I had an amazing time in the camp and desert. The family really did a fantastic job to show their way of life and show the desert. Salam invited me to the wedding from his cousin which was an amazing experience to witness. They are such a friendly family and when I will come back then I will book the same camp again.

Definitely the best tour and guide in the Wadi Rum desert! - We had an incredible day with our Bedouin guide exploring the Wadi Rum desert! Each stop along the way was thoroughly explained by our knowledgeable guide. Plus, at nearly every location, we were treated to refreshing tea and comfortable spots to rest. We spent the entire day immersed in the desert in this amazing jeep tour, enjoying a scrumptious lunch right in the heart of the desert. The experience far exceeded our expectations—it was truly one-of-a-kind! A heartfelt thank you to Salem and the team. I can't wait to return for another adventure, and I highly recommend this tour to anyone seeking a memorable experience in Wadi Rum. Trust me, it's worth every penny!

The driver was very kind and let us play some polish music in the car haha Then we arrived to the camp. We had very nice dinner (10 Jod) and we went to tent. It was very comfortable, the camp has showerz bathrooms, wifi and electicity to charge phones. I highly recommend this trip!

Immerse yourself in the dessert life! - Salem was extremely helpful and just a wonderful guy. We felt welcome from the get go, he answered all of our questions and even helped us find the cheapest bus to get back to Amman. The camp is super cozy and relaxed, hidden beneath the most charming mountain with an unforgettable view. We took the shorter version of the dessert tour at a very reasonable price as we are budget travelers and it was worth every penny. You can really feel the peaceful vibe of the dessert as you are soaring through it in the back of Salems jeep. Only at the dinner we felt as true bedouins, it was delicious, lot of options for the vegetarians (as we are) and the meat eaters too. The chef can cook, that’s for sure. Absolutely recommend to book Salems place, you won’t regret it!
