Wonderful experience - It’s one hell of an adventure to get to Petra. It’s a long ride, but they were very punctual, they moved us fast and effectively, stopped for bathrooms, we had plenty of time in Petra, had a buffet lunch after, I was very happy with the overall experience

Amazing Petra experience - It is a long day of travel but the experience was amazing. The transportation and travel logistics were very well coordinated. The guide on the Jordan side was great. He shared information about the country of Jordan, and provided lots of details on Petra as we were walking in to see the Treasury. There was plenty of time available at Petra to take pictures and explore.

10/10 trip - Such a good trip! Definitely worth the travel! The treasury is one of the most incredible experiences I have ever witnessed. Get picked up at 1 am and the drive to the port is around 4 to 5 hours however my advice would be to try sleep during this time as it went very fast, felt more like 1/2 hour. You are on the Siri for around 1 and a 1/2 hour. Once in Jordan immigration was very fast all you have to do is that an immigration card similar to the one you filled out in Egypt when you landed.
The drive to Petra is around two hours and you have to stop for a toilet break and drink. There's not much to see in Jordan however still something different it was all very safe. I feel like there was a lot of negative stigma with everything that's happening in Gaza. I'm a 28-year-old blonde woman and I did not feel unsafe at any point during my trip I did wear a long pants however I did wear Spaghetti strap crop top and again I still felt safe wearing this. There were some girls wearing a shorts, however please be mindful that the general consensus is to cover up legs and shoulders.
We stopped in a Jordanian restaurant which was included in the price and lunch was absolutely amazing. 10 out of 10. The food was really nice
Wants me up to the ride at the Petra site the walk down towards the treasury is around 30 minutes. It's relatively cool due to the altitude/being in the mountain. I still wouldn't recommend bringing any form of jumper, et cetera. The walk of the treasury is a slow decline however you can get a horse on the way down. The horse is included in your Petra ticket whether they ask for tip and a very solid on this there is no getting around not paying them for a horse ride the treasure itself is fascinating and incredible site to see 10 out of time. Wish I have done it sooner. You are then given some free time around 2 to 3 hours to go and explore by yourself if you go past the treasury you can see how the Jordanian Burge live thousands of years ago. I can explore pretty much by ourselves by walking up mountains it's quite relaxed and all of security.
The locals are really nice however they do try sell things. Locals on the accept US dollar, euro and their local currency. Don't buy souvenirs from the first shop you see I would buy souvenirs from the shops past the Treasury.
Walk back to the court is pretty difficult and we ended up getting a horse. We did explain to the man that we only had Egyptian money and they accept this however when we got to the top they seem to be hungry. I thought we only had Egyptian money as the exchange rate for Jordanian people is pretty bad.
Finding out we only had Egyptianmoney, the locals looking after the horses became angry and ended up striking the horse twice across the face which I found quite disturbing. The horses role are generally good condition condition and have water however they dig going up the mountain and it made me guilty and made me consider getting off the horse and walking the rest of the way for a good portion of the ride. We also witnessed them throwing rocks and stones at the horses legs and feet to make them move faster which I also did not like.
There is a free museum at the top where horses are don't recommend visiting the end time of your trip as it has some arts that wefe excavated.
Please be my enough food of water is given on the strip you have to provide for your own food and liquid. The only thing that's provided is lunch which we had around 12 pm.

Amazing experience - Excellent trip. It’s a gruelling journey from Sharm but well worth it. The guide was very good but we felt the tour was moving a bit slow as we wanted to complete the whole trail so we left the group and went on our own and then met the bus at the end.
The hike up to the monastery is a killer but the view is stunning.

Great experience - I wish I could split this review into two parts: the first tour guide was terrible, but the second one was amazing.
Before the trip, I confirmed via messages that my Insta360 camera was allowed. I even sent a photo of it, and the company assured me it was fine — only large professional cameras with zoom lenses weren’t accepted.
Everything started great: pickup was smooth, and the charter bus was comfortable. But once we reached the ferry, the first guide began asking about cameras. I explained I’d already cleared mine with the company, yet he insisted it wouldn’t pass and claimed the office staff “didn’t know better.” At inspection, he even pointed out my camera to the guards, who confiscated it with no tag, receipt, or confirmation. He said it would be returned on the Egypt side.
After that, things improved. The ferry and bus rides were comfortable, and there were plenty of restroom and drink stops. Lunch was good, though chaotic — the restaurant should have organized the buffet line to avoid the crowd cutting and arguments that followed.
Once we reached Petra, the second guide completely turned the experience around. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and well-prepared — explained prices, gave great tips, shared interesting facts, and gave us time to explore. Thanks to him, Petra was unforgettable.
On our return, we got the camera back — but to my shock, there were new videos clearly recorded by the first guide. It was uncomfortable knowing he’d gone through private photos, including ones of us in swimsuits.
The drop-off process at the end was rushed and confusing; they split groups into smaller buses and weren’t clear about hotel names, so we nearly missed our stop.
Overall, despite a rocky start, the trip was amazing — Petra was absolutely worth it. We felt completely safe everywhere, even though we were nervous about traveling due to the conflict in Gaza and Israel. I’m so glad we didn’t cancel. I’d do it again — now knowing what to expect.

Long day but worth it - It’s a very long day, planned out for you all you need to do is be ready!
We were not advised to get Jordanian dollars but they did take Egyptian pounds at a made up exchange rate. The tour guide was very good at Petra but mumble on the coach so he wasn’t clear. The city itself is amazing just a shame you can’t go inside the temple. It very hot and along walk, so talk food and water !

Petra - The female coach lead (Alisa) allowed a man to threaten me and record me on the coach after he refused to take his seat forward and proceeded to be against my lap for the journey. Alisa lacked the common sense to figure out that if everyone reclined their seats it would be uncomfortable for most, particularly those at the back. Alisa continued to point in my face, whilst asking me to calm down, instructions better suited to herself. She informed me she “could do whatever she wants as she is in Egypt” - a strange comment to make. That being said Petra was wonderful and the English speaking guide was very informative and professional. “Lunch” was served at 4pm so bring lots of snacks and drinks along. Some confusion regarding the visa being included as part of the package as they were quoting €30 for those needing visas however this did not apply to me.
