Excellent Day trip to Long Tan/Dat Nui and Vung Tau - Excellent day trip to visit the Long Tan battlefield, the Australian military base at Nui Dat and the lovely coastal town of Vung Tau. Nam, the guide is very knowledgeable about the battle, the base and the history of the area. He explained the wartime locations of the various units and pointed out various relics from that era such as the remains of bunkers, trenches, the old airstrip and helicopter landing area at the base. After visiting the Long Tan Cross memorial, we had a wonderful lunch at a seaside restaurant in Vung Tau and as special treat, we made a stop at the Museum of Worldwide Arms in Vung Tau to view the incredible collection of weapons, uniforms, etc. Overall a very interesting tour! My thanks to Nam for the awesome experience! Thanks, Pete

A history lesson for the daughter of an Australian Vietnam Veteran - Nam was an excellent guide. He tailored the tour to my interests and my dad’s (a Vietnam veteran) history in the war. We accessed the non touristy sights and it was brilliant to see where my dad was during the war.

A tour full of knowledge - One of the best tours on our Vietnam Trip! Our guide, Nam, was full of so much extra knowledge and payed attention to the finer details. He managed the busy tourist crowds so easily too. Thoroughly enjoyed our day.

A very personal and heart-healing tour - As a daughter of a Vietnam vet, I could not have wished for a more knowledgeable, respectful, responsive and generous guide than Nam. From the very first moment, we were taken care of, travelling in a luxury limousine vehicle with an exceptional driver, mr Chau. Immediately Nam asked about my family connection and then designed our tour with very special detours to places of personal significance. He listened to my father’s stories/memories (I video called my dad in Australia from each significant place) and Nam showed us every place. He was a highly skilled listener and incredibly authentic and respectful to my personal connection. I will be forever grateful to Nam for telling me “I want to bring you to these places, and show your father, so you can have new memories and see that everything is ok. It is a peaceful and happy place.” He is truly committed to bringing healing and peace to veterans and their families. I will be forever grateful. Thank you Nam ❤️

Well worth your time if you’re interested in history - We were very lucky to have Nam lead this day tour through the sights of Long Tan and Nui Dat. He explained the history and was highly knowledgeable about the Vietnamese and Australian/New Zeaaldner experiences of the conflict. Mr Long was a great driver, very cautious and safe. It was a long day but very interesting. I highly recommend Maika Tours

Great and informative tour to explore Long Tan, Nui Dat & Vung Tau - We had a great day being taken around all the sights and having Nan explain to us with great insights and knowledge how it used to be during war times. His stories were entertaining and he was able to personalise the experience to our family that visited to see the places my wife’s father had been when over here. Lunch stop in Vung Tau was nice right on the water. It’s a big day, but we all enjoyed it very much with lots of photos to show when home. Thoroughly recommend this tour for anyone with a connection to the area.

Such a great experience. - This was a very insightful and emotional day through Nui Dat, Long Tan and Vung Tau. Huong was fantastic and provided us with amazing contextual information and was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the region from both the ANZAC and Vietnamese perspective. Huong has done some amazing work in bringing people together to protect and maintain the Long Tan memorial. The tour overall was very engaging with some great information and laughs along the way. Lunch and the tour of Vung Tau capped off an amazing day with some great local history. Thank you so much for a moving experience. Highly recommend.
