One of the most well-known Australian engagements of the Vietnam War - external site was the Battle of Long Tan - external site, 18 August 1966. The battle saw the action of 108 ANZACS against a Viet Cong (North Vietnamese) force - external site estimated between 1,500 and 2,500. The Battle was one of the heaviest conflicts of the Vietnam War as well as one the few battles in the recorded history of the world to be won against such odds. Vietnam Veterans’ Day, celebrated in Australia on 18 August each year, commemorates the Battle of Long Tan and those Australians who served during the Vietnam War and is an opportunity to remember those who did not come home.

Guided by a Vietnam veteran! - Had a fantastic tour with Juan on Lunar New year day to Long Tan. Tuan was in the war and was able to tell us all his stories and so much information about his experiences. We were well looked after and learned a lot!

Visit to Long Tan with Tuan. - The best part of the trip by far was the knowledge, insight and service provided by my guide Tuan from Vietnam Adventure Tours. Being a war veteran himself he was able to offer invaluable insight to the events of that time and was more than happy to share his own thoughts, experiences and personal photographs from that time. Nothing was too much trouble and he was very patient with me as I took photographs of the sites myself and he also took countless photographs for me. He even took me to a small shop where I purchased some Long Tan stubbie holders. This great service did not end with the completion of my trip as Tuan emailed me some of his personal photographs. Thanks once again Tuan and Vietnam Adventure Tours !!!

.. Today I travel private tour (Vung tau) with a guide name Mr.Ele and the driver name Mr.Kha. The guide's very good take care of us. And Lunch is delicious.

Special - Our favourite part of the tour was the tour guide and driver they were so friendly and really made the tour.
The tour itself is amazing and felt very lucky to take part

Book this trip in Saigon! - Definitely check these guys out for a great tour. You might think it is expensive but for what you receive t is worth it. Long Tan and Nui Dat are a long way from Saigon so it is worth the investment for driver and tour guide. A great way to pay respects to Aussie and south Vietnamese soldiers. Can highly recommend.

Battlefield tour Long Tan - What an amazing experience! Getting to talk to Jackie was one of the highlights of my trip best tour to take! He gives you a look into so much and my hope is when I return to Vietnam with my dad to pair up with Jackie again for another amazing tour.

EMOTIONALLY OVERWHELMING, the torture, cages the POWS were crammed into🥺. Didn’t like the begging for money in the tour. - Very overwhelming seeing the devastation and starvation of POWS on both sides of the war. Certainly is an eye opener!..
