Highlights
  • The Battle of Long Tan - Our tour begins with an early morning departure from Ho Chi Minh City, where you’ll be picked up by our knowledgeable and friendly guide at 8 am. As we drive through the picturesque countryside, our guide will provide you with valuable insights into the historical context of the Vietnam War and the significance of the Long Tan Battle.
After there, proceed to the Discourtesy Rubber Plantation by driving by Horseshoe FSB (entry is prohibited due to the ongoing presence of land mines). Before going on to the Long Phuoc Tunnels, stop at the Long Tan Cross Memorial, a site of memory. The Long Phuoc Tunnels had meeting spaces, first aid stations, and fighting pits, just like other underground systems discovered in Vietnam.

Our last destination on a half-day journey to Long Tan - Nui Dat is the Long Phuoc Tunnels. You will return to Ho Chi Minh City after a brief break.

Visit ends at your hotel.

Peaceful and Meaningful. Lest We Forget. - Visited Long Tan / Nui Dat area with our guide Tu. Tu shared so much of his knowledge and compassion, whilst showing us around this inspiring place. The Long Tan Cross – so very peaceful and meaningful. Having a cousin who was killed in action in the local area in 1967 – we felt quite a connection and had a very respectful and emotional day. The memorial site is an absolute credit to those who look after it. Lest We Forget.

A must for Aussies to visit the special site of Long Tan - Thankyou Tu for an amazingly tour of Long Tan. We learnt so much from Tu, our wonderful tour guide. His professional knowledge and personal stories of his grandmother's experiences of the Vietnam War provided a fuller perspective of the battle of Long Tan. He also made the extra effort to show us some lovely memorable stories of how Australians had made many contributions to assist the Vietnamese post the Vietnam war. This meant alot to us as Australians. The Long Tan memorial site lies in a peaceful setting and is well cared for. We recommend visiting this special place as the site of the Australian base at Nui Dat is disappearing. This is a must for all Aussies.

Great trip to some fascinating sites - We had a great day with Dan and a very good driver. The HCMC morning traffic is a wonder to behold! Nui Dat,Long Phuoc tunnels and Long Tan were really amazing. The sites are not all perfectly preserved (Stonehenge style) but Dans commentary, photos and ‘no punches pulled’ sure fill in the gaps. Aussies with relatives who served at Long Tan may be disappointed that the main site is now basically a working quarry

Essential for any Australians Visiting Vietnam - This was a great day out, and an important trip for any Australian touring Vietnam. A lovely bloke and veteran, Sergeant Tony, took me out there for the tour and was an excellent guide, providing assistance with everything on the day plus great information about Long Tan and also Vietnamese history since the war. The ride out there was very comfortable and provided a good chance to see more of Ho Chi Minh City. Hotel pick up and drop off was provided, with the tour wrapping up in the mid afternoon. This tour is definitely something to book in for any Aussie travelling to Ho Chi Minh.

The best and only Long Tan tour to book: - There is no other tour company that anyone should book with when wanting to pay respect for the service of Australian troops during the Vietnam war. This is all due to Mr Tony/ Dao. He is a veteran of the war himself, a former Sgt and his knowledge of  the history at every stop and the war in general added on with his first hand stories cannot be matched. No other tour or tour guide can provide what Tony offers. Not only one of the greatest men I have had the honour of meeting, but without question the best tour guide. I am truly grateful, humbled and honoured that not only that I got to do this tour, but that I had Mr Tony as my guide. It will be a day the will stay with for the rest of my life. If you have any interest in history and paying respect to the past and sacrifices of our service men during the Vietnam war, book this tour when you are in Vietnam Thank you so much again to Tony and lest we forget.
