An action-packed excursion - This tour was jam-packed with lovely activities. Our guide, Milo, was friendly, informative, and made sure the entire experience was smooth and enjoyable. We especially loved the bike rides, the breakfast pho, and the coffee. I would highly recommend to others!

Such a lovely tour! - My friends and I absolutely adored this tour! Milo was the most incredible guide and in just 48 hours we saw him answer a million helpful questions, teach us how to make spring rolls and other Vietnamese cuisine, lead a bike tour, demonstrate his horticultural expertise, handle a snake, bee keep, shave a coconut, bar tend, help prepare pho and coffee, plant rice, and catch a live fish- he can do it all, and he does it all with a smile on his face and goes above and beyond to make it a wonderful stay for all guests! And the farm is incredibly charming, rustic but comfortable and the folks that work there are so kind! This tour was absolutely wonderful and I’d do it again in a heartbeat!

Stay the night, very peaceful, bring water - We had a nice time! The first half of the first day is fairly commercial, definitely recommend staying the night to get a longer period of time and more authentic experience. The rooms are good and spacious with good AC and the property is peaceful. Would recommend bringing water with you as they only give you one and you pay the rest. The guide Milo was very sweet and knowledgeable.

Cutest, most wholesome homestay! - Amazing little homestay for getting away from the city and enjoying some nature! Super wholesome day, including a bicycle ride around the rice fields and planting rice with Hiew on his land. Beautiful garden and surroundings, cute dogs, tasty food, and a super friendly host :) Also, I had a cold and Hiew gave me medicines and also took me to a local market for breakfast as he thought I would like the local food more than the Western breakfast they offer for customers - nice touches! Would 100% recommend!

Best homestay in west Vietnam - The tour in general was nice. We went on a biking trip with son, our tour guide for the day. He was a very nice guy who tried his best to explain us everything and was very passionate about his job and west vietnam. After we went to mekong delta, we went quite fast through the activities there, but it was not too bad. I can understand it felt rushed, because the activities are quite short, so they should work on their presentation and friendliness in general. We had the change to taste some snake wine and delicious hand made coconut candy at the small factory. The honey lemon tea and fried banana are both very delicious too! The boat trip through the mekong river is short but very nice. After the melong delta, you go to visit a very beautiful temple with some very big statues, so that was cool too. The homestay in definitely the highlight. Huei is a very friendly and charming guy. The tiny garden accommodation also looks very beautiful, I loved the atmosphere and the family is working hard everyday to maintain the property and to make it better. I went fishing in the lake they had and caught fish for dinner, very tasty and nice and after that talked the whole night with huei and enjoyed some beers. Everywhere on the property and very nice places to chill and make some nice memories. The morning after you go on the bike to see the sunset over the rice fields, and to drink a coffee and have breakfast at a local market. This was the best coffee I ever had. I would definitely recommend to stay at the family tiny garden, even for more nights. It would be an amazing place for couples, but if you are looking for piece as a solo traveler, this is the place to be. You will not regret it at all. BTW they have the cutest dogs Sunday and coffee, I miss those cuties.

Best homestay! - Our guide Son picked us up at our hostel and took us to a big pagoda and then to the Mekong delta, where we took a boat to unicorn island. On the island you taste some honey products, see a factory of coconut candy and taste some local fruits while there is local music. Then you go in a smaller boat for 15 min. All of the above is the same for every tourist that visit the area I think and is extremely touristy. The local people want you to buy their products and tip them. Son was really nice and informative though, and told us that we only had to buy/tip if we wanted to. After this we went to the homestay and it is incredible. It is so cozy and beautiful with small ponds and lots of plants. The owner Hieu grew up on the land and still use it as a farm. The last years they have had tourists visit for a more relaxing and authentic experience of the Mekong area. We had delicious lunch and went for a bike ride. Son told us lots of things about Vietnam and answered all our questions. After that the rest of the group went back to Saigon and only me and my boyfriend stayed the night. We had the best time learning to plant rice and catch fish at the farm together with Hieu. In the evening we watched football with Hieu and his nephew. The next morning we woke up really early and went for a bike ride for 3 hours. We saw the sunrise and rise fields and went to the village to have coffee and to a local temple. Hieu told us a lot a things about the area, about farming and his own family. We went home and had breakfast and relaxed in hammocks. Staying at Family Tiny Garden is one of the best things we did in Vietnam. So nice to have a more authentic experience and Hieu was really great spending time with. I wish we could have stayed longer.

A slice of heaven in Vietnam Countryside - This is a true slice of heaven. Me and my partner stayed here on our last days in Vietnam, after hiking and traveling, this was the most beautiful relaxing experience. Our tour began with Phong, a passionate and knowledgeable tour guide who have us a lot of information on vietnam history, culture and religion. We visited the oldest pagoda in Ho Chi Minh, the coconut candy factory, bee farm for honey tea ( insanely tasty ) and the Mekong river. Next we came to Family tree garden home stay which was mind blowing. The property is filled with various animals: rabbits, fish and of course their beautiful dog , Coffee ( everyone loves coffee) - she’s so gentle and affectionate. We ate lunch cooked by the wonderful women working here. Delicious traditional fresh food. After lunch we went for a bike ride to visit the rice farms and dragon fruit farms, after we came back we were taught how to fish, we caught catfish and snails from the river which the ladies cooked up for dinner. The next morning we went for a beautiful sunrise bike ride at 5:30 - we went into town and had some traditional Vietnamese coffee (if you think regular coffee is addictive wait until you taste this - the ladies make it best at the home stay though) After that we went to see the lotus flower farms, Finally we came home, had more delicious home cooked food and helped out painting the new cabins they just built by hand! Our host Heiu is one of the most generous and kind people I’ve met, sharing all his knowledge and stories, sharing his beautiful home and food with us and welcoming us. We’re so grateful to have found this slice of heaven and cannot recommend it enough to those wanting to experience true Vietnamese lifestyles of farmers. Thanks so much for your generosity and allowing us to experience this place. We’ve made friends for life and cannot wait to come back to visit and see what the future holds for Family Tree Garden.
