Private half day morning cruise - We had four adults that toured with Spilios and Katarina and had an amazing time. They both were wonderful and the food was delicious. My sister was a little weary of booking an excursion outside of our cruise, but everything went smoothly. From going up the cable cars (20 minutes) to the few minute walk to the meeting place, to the drive to the southern port (driver very informative), and finally being picked up at the end of the catamaran cruise by the same driver to take us back. We couldn’t have asked for anything more! The tour lasted as long as expected. We were on an 8 day cruise and this was by far our favorite excursion of our trip and meal. Our husbands talked about how they prepared the mussels the whole trip. We highly recommend this trip!

Best private tour, AMAZING crew, check off your bucket list. - Our family has done numerous private catamaran tours throughout the world (Hawaii, Galápagos Islands, Costa Rica, etc), and this one offered by Caldera Yachting takes the top spot. While each tour offers a little bit of a different experience depending on the highlights of the location, this tour was made special by the crew. Our captain was “Elias”, and the two deckhands were “Giannis” and “Christina”. I apologize in advance for spelling their names incorrectly. We booked a 10-hour all day private catamaran tour with these guys, which I highly recommend. Most groups book only a half day, but the full-day experience allows the captain to really show you all of the highlights of the caldera. How often do you get to snorkel through a shipwreck, explore a tiny town of 300 permanent residents, learn to sail, swim among the fishes, eat 2 delicious meals, snacks, drinks unlimited, and then cap it off witnessing the most ginormous sun I’ve ever seen setting into the horizon. You might even get lucky and see dolphins. But even with all the great highlights of the trip, as I mentioned above, what made this trip standout among any of the other tours was the crew. Captain Elias is a Santorini native, a wealth of historical knowledge, and an expert seaman. Eager to teach, he taught me how to sail, tie a variety of knots, all while pointing out all the highlights of the caldera. Giannis is an accomplished musician, recently getting his license to operate motorboats, and getting a chance to work full time on a boat, but also work on his music. He made sure we had our all snorkel gear, pool noodles, towels, and basically made sure we had everything we needed. And Christina, so sweet, she had recently finished nursing school, but she decided to adventure out and try her hand living full-time as a deckhand. She cooked all our delicious meals. By the end of the day, the 3 had basically become family. Please treat them well! Greece is known for their hospitality, especially in tourist hot spots like Santorini. But I really hope that people do not take advantage of their hospitality. Yes, you are on vacation, but these guys are hard-working, kind, and trying to make a living like everyone else in this world. They work incredibly long hours (hours that would be considered illegal in the United States), with VERY little time off, especially during the busy season, so please cut them some slack. I can honestly say that by the time the day came to an end, I love those guys, and it was a little sad to say goodbye. Final shoutout needs to go to our driver, Filippos (goes by “Phillip”), who picked us up and dropped us off from our hotel. He also works super long hours, all while keeping a cheerful disposition, and expertly guiding us through the island. Overall, I would highly recommend this private full-day catamaran tour using this crew. They crew the “Golden Star” catamaran, which is basically brand new as it was built in 2022. I would recommend this boat and crew when booking. Hope you guys also have a wonderful and memorable experience!
