The waterfall can be reached with relative ease from Vlahi (a mere 15-minute journey from the village), although the approach to Vlahi can be challenging due to the unpaved, dirt road.
Witnessing the waterfalls from the lower vantage point is an unforgettable encounter. To get to the base, one must navigate a precipitous and stony decline with utmost caution. It’s an adventure with a touch of extremity, but unquestionably rewarding.

In present-day Bulgaria, there are several devotees who have saved these breeds, and some are eager to acquaint you with these incredible rare creatures and elaborate on the care required for them at a specially established Rare Breeds Center, the Association, and the farm. Starting from the early 1990s, the association has taken initiatives to conserve the authentic Karakachan dog, and the other two Karakachan breeds - the sheep and the horse, which were entirely eradicated during the socialist era. The primary flock of original Karakachan sheep exists, which played a crucial role in rescuing the breed from oblivion. A flock of the Kalofer long-haired goat was also established to conserve some of its most characteristic specimens. The joyous photoshoot with the top specimens of the breeds is also in store for you along with the unique tasting experience of the organic food products, manufactured using traditional authentic methods.
