Chesapean’s user-friendly sit-on-top kayaks require minimal to no prior experience and provide an excellent means to traverse the coastline waters of Virginia Beach and approach wild dolphins closer than ever before. Expert guides assist in your embarkation and direction, as you relish the awe-inspiring vistas and unique encounters with wild Bottlenose Dolphins.

Schedule: Daily from May 1st to Oct. 1st at 9:30am & 2pm

Please note, adjustments to the tour location may be made owing to varying ocean conditions, current, tides, and winds.

The address for your GPS is 2500 Shore Drive, Virginia Beach, Virginia, 23451. Sometimes GPS will direct you to the Trail Center across the street- DO NOT DO THIS!!! You will need to turn into the CAMPGROUND entrance. Also, walk down to beach as we are on the beach! Tipping is also customary!

Kayaking with Dolphins! - Matt did an amazing job telling about the area and about the wildlife all while kayaking with dolphins all around us. He did an expert job and we are so grateful for a magical and unforgettable kayak tour! We definitely plan to go again!! Not to be missed!

Dolphins for the day! - It was everything I’d hoped it would be! Matt was so fun and a great guide and historian. He was very helpful for people who needed a little extra instruction and got them rowing like pros in no time! He timed it perfectly to when the pod of dolphins were coming! He was very knowledgeable of dolphins in general and was fun talking with him. It was a great time! And he shared photos he took of us all with sir drop!

Great experience - Guided kayak tour to see dolphins was FABULOUS! The guide was friendly and helpful. The experience was so much fun. Great opportunities to take pictures, and the guide took pictures and videos and shared them too. Would DEFINITELY go again.

Great Experience - Highly recommended! The guides were awesome and are saw dolphins almost immediately. Had a great time and lead a lot. Very happy and will likely do it again in the future.

Great kayak tour - Crew was great. They provided a lot of educational information about dolphins, as well was the whole ecosystem of the Chesapeake bay. It was a well organized tour, accommodated all levels of kayakers.

Waiting for refund - It was too windy the day I went I am waiting for my refund. I wish I could have went. I am waiting for Matt 1-757-390-1581 to give me a refund since they cancelled it due to the wind.

Dolphin mania - Phenomenal trip! Tommy was a great guide and we saw more than 100 dolphins with close encounters!!! It was a beautiful experience!

Amazing time! - We had an amazing time, our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable of the area. We did see about 15 dolphins, making there way into the ocean.

Outdoor adventure with Dolphins and History - A fabulous afternoon adventure with great weather and multiple pods of dolphins. We were lucky enough to see a few breach in close range which was pretty stellar. Pelicans, terns and cormorants, too.
