Stroll down memory lane! Cabril is a parish embedded within the confines of Peneda-Gerês National Park. The inhabitants have been historically entwined with mountainous surroundings.
Here’s a historical stroll starting from the 1940s when mining, smuggling, and coal fuelled the economy of this secluded community.

Throughout the day we will be surprised by the exuberant landscapes of the Gerês mountain range. Landscapes sometimes enriched with grazing animals and we will understand the arduous living conditions of generations before ours. We will walk along trails that were trodden by our grandparents, where each piece of stone is a story, each source of pure water an inspiration.
The walk is guided by a local guide, descended from men and women who left us a legacy that we want to share with you.
