Great show - We happened upon this show while walking along the riverfront. We had wanted to experience Fado but not stay up too late or spend a lot of $ on show and dinner. This was perfect as the performers were talented and personable, and we also received an interesting education about the music (and a glass of port).

Great Fado performance did not disappoint - My wife and I were visiting Porto and wanted to hear/experience Fado. I was reluctant to book a Fado performance at a restaurant with dinner, as often the fixed price means a fixed menu, and my wife has dietary restrictions and many restaurants do not cater well to her restrictions. This particular Fado performance was at 5:30 and since we had dinner reservations already booked elsewhere for 7pm it fit with our schedule. The performance was just under an hour and it included a nice glass of port. The performers were very talented and explained Fado and their songs to the audience in both English and French. Everyone, including some families with children, were made to feel welcome. I felt this was a wonderful experience and highly recommend it.

Amazing Fado and port tasting riverside experience - We found this experience by chance as it is hosted within the rowing club which was saw as soon as we got off the water taxi ferry from the other side of the river. My husband used to row so we were looking through the door and one of the guitarists, Luis Gregorio, invited us in for a tour then told us about his fado show. We bought two tickets, were treated to a delicious glass of port and a fabulous 45 minute performance from these three extremely talented musicians. It was the perfect way to experience this traditional style of music in a location overlooking the Douro river. If I was to suggest an improvement it would be more comfortable chairs or some cushions on the existing ones and an ability to buy extra drinks once you’ve had your complimentary port and maybe also snacks / olives etc? Loved it as an experience overall though and would highly recommend.
