- Marina da Afurada - Our sunset adventure begins at Pontoon C of Marina da Afurada and continues towards the unforgettable historic area of Ribeira and Cais de Gaia. Once here, it’s time to discover more about the city of Porto, a task that our crew will be happy to share with you. Toast to the taste of a good Douro wine of your choice and take the opportunity to photograph in a unique setting.
Meanwhile, we reverse our course towards the sea, passing through the protected area of the Douro estuary and the beautiful old mouth of Porto with its unmistakable palm trees. And ever closer to the bubbling of the sea, in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and whenever there are conditions for navigation, we touch the waves of the sea, taking our visitors to experience the magical sensation of immensity that only the sea is capable of making us feel. It was the Highlight of our trip to Porto! - I booked a 2-hr 11am sailboat cruise for a party of 5, not entirely knowing what to expect. The trip and tour guides surpassed our expectations and provided not only a lovely 2 hour sailboat ride, a Porto tonic drink, but also a rich history of the Douro River and Porto. Claudio and his intern, Pedro, were wonderful. My family and I collectively agreed that this was the highlight of our trip to Porto, especially as it enabled us to see areas or Porto that we would not have seen previously. Highly recommend, very professional and safe. Thanks for a great day!

Top - A chilled out trip, it's very comfortable despite the narrow sailing boat. Very nice people work there, and there were delicious drinks too!

Breathtakingly beautiful! Highly recommend! - Highly recommend this experience. Sunset in Porto and on the Atlantic ocean are magical. The trip was extremely well organized, execution was professional and the crew very service-oriented and friendly. Communication ahead of the trip was also great and quick. The tour itself was just stunning. I felt very welcomed and enjoyed the drinks that were served on the boat. I will definitely book it again when I come back to Porto.

You don’t want to miss this! - Great sunset cruise! We knew it would be a good experience, but it exceeded our expectations! The drinks were delicious, the views incredible, and the captain/ hosts were charming and kind. We would definitely reccomed this to anyone and would love to come back again.

Excellent sunset cruise on the Douro. - Excellent sunset cruise, Riccardo was very helpful and friendly. The weather was perfect and we viewed the sunset from the open sea as the water was very calm. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent service and tour!! - Extremely friendly and accommodating guide - Ricardo. Helped us out hugely by changing our pick up point when we were let down by our taxi to the original pick up point. Excellent communication throughout. Knowledgable and enthusiastic, making sure all guests were ok and comfortable throughout.
The wind was good so we were able to open the sails - fab.

Visit Porto from the river - A great, comfortable experience to see Porto and Gaia from the river. Nice and helpful crew! The crew told us a bit about what we were seeing. There were also drinks and blankets if needed.

Delightful personalized boat ride on the Douro River - My husband, son and I went on a delightful 2 hour sailboat ride with the Douro Captain and his mate a few days ago. There were a total of 7 passengers on our ride. We all had quite enough room. I sat on big cushions towards the bow. My husband and son preferred to stay in the cockpit. We learned a lot about the history of Douro and Gaia , and more recent economic trends in the region, from the Captain, who is a native to the region. The Captain and his mate were both fluent in English as well.
The Captain served cocktails made with white port wine that were quite refreshing.
The conditions were not favorable for sailing, so the Captain used the motor the whole time. We had beautiful weather and great views of both sides of the Douro River and several bridges. We much preferred this small boat, personalized experience to the much larger passenger boats we saw on the river at the same time. Highly recommend!
