- Pocas Vinhos - The Experience will start with a guided visit to the aging cellar where the fabulous wines have been aging for more than 100 years. You will get to know what makes Port Wine so special and also learn about the place where it is made: the Douro Valley. Then you’ll walk into the Tasting Room where a harmonized tasting of three different Port Wines awaits. You will find out what pairs well with Port Wine and discover Port styles that you might not have tasted before. You’ll also have the possibility of tasting other wines (not included) and buying all the available references at our shop.

About our Company:
Boasting over a century of history, Pocas is presently managed by its 3rd and 4th generation, standing as one of the rare Port Wine enterprises that originated in Portugal and still owned by the same Portuguese clan. While the reputation of Pocas was initially built on the Old Tawny Ports, our DOC Douro wines have also been demonstrating their caliber over the past three decades.
Recently, Pocas was acclaimed as the “Fortified wine manufacturer of 2018” by the Portuguese publication ‘Revista de Vinhos’. We opened our Visitor Center to the public in 2016, which was refurbished in 2018 by Portuguese architects Lúcia Vaz Pato and António Mota. Serving approximately 28,000 guests annually, our Visitor Center has further been recognized with the Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence.

Memorable - The Poças team were so warm and forthcoming. The ambience of the place was amazing. We had such an eventful time learning about their port wine and our guide was so kind and informative. Thank you once again team for such an amazing time.

Informative and delicious experience! - It was a great tour. Very informative. The ports were great in a beautiful tasting room. You can order little snacks at an extra cost but not expensive. I highly recommend the cheese.

Excellent - The whole experience was great and we had a brilliant tour guide who explained everything so well. The place is beautiful and there’s so many different ports to buy. Well worth the price! Thankyou

Fun wine tasting - Filipe was a great tour guide. He was knowledgeable but also very entertaining and funny. Order the cheese plate to accompany your tastings. It was great!

Great Gem in Gaia - Intimate tasting with 10 of us. Luis was friendly, thorough, and informed. The Port was excellent. We had another tasting later at a bigger Port House that was much larger and impersonal. I recommend Pocas highly!

Nice wine tasting experience in Porto - Very nice wine tasting experience, the tour was concise, informative and quite engaging - not much time spent on describing the tasting options for every group, which was a bit disappointing, but the guide was quite overwhelmed with the amount of tourists subscribed to the tour and preparing for the next round, so it was understandable. We ended up enjoying it and purchasing some wine to go.

Port tasting experience - Port tasting at Pocas cellars was one of the highlights of our holiday in Portugal. We enjoyed very informative tour in the cellars by our host. We have chosen to taste 4 ports - 2 Colheitas and 2 Vintage ports, all very tasty and exclusive. We were happy buyers too. We highly recommend this experience if you are in Porto.

Good tour and tasting - Enjoyed cellar tour and explanations of vintages etc. Good selection of ports to taste at end. Wrap-up was a bit abrupt: wasn’t sure when to leave!
