beyond imagination and beyond expectations. the joy of this experience was of total humbleness and gratefulness. - the Ice caves were just spectacular. what an amazing experience that was. hiking up to the caves and jumping in between the many streams was quite a task. but with the ice spiked contraption fitted on our boots made it so much safer and the climb easier.

Top Iceland tour for our family - Voted #1 Iceland experience by our whole family (young adults & 50s parents) Met tour guide Oskar at the Soup Factory and went to Katla in a duded-up van. Walked towards the glacier for a few minutes from parking then put on crampons and hiked up onto the glacier and into the ice cave. Such a cool experience! Oskar was thoughtful about everyone’s safety, answered questions and made sure we all had the time to safely explore. He clearly loves being on the glacier and teaching about it. He took photos and shared with us afterwards. Would absolutely recommend!

Amazing glacier hike - Our tour guide, John, was amazing! He was entertaining and educational. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone going to Vik. I have never used microscopes before but they were very easy to use and I felt comfortable on the glacier. It was nice that our tour was just 8 people.

Katla Ice Cave - Had a fantastic time visiting the Kayla ice cave!!! Easy hike, great views, fun super-jeep ride, speeding/gliding over the rough unpaved track on huge balloon tires, and even got to see an Icelandic fox. Our guide, Oskar seemed to have had a great time making sure that everybody on the tour was having the best possible experience. He was extremely friendly, open, informative and really went the extra mile helping everyone get as many memories and photos as they wanted. He even took most the pictures and provided a link to share them with us. Could not think of a better way to spend 3-hours in the south of Iceland. Don't miss this tour!!!

Totally Unique Experience - This was an awesome excursion. The guide was very knowledgeable and the super jeep was comfortable and clean. The caves were incredible and because the glacier is always changing, the experience you get is completely unique compared to others. We also saw an arctic fox on the way back to Vik which was very cool. Highly recommend this tour, I've climbed on glaciers before but going into the caves was very cool.

Spectacular! - We booked the excursion with Troll.is directly, we chose the first hour to avoid crowds and clutter! Great success, in principle we had to be 3 couples but finally one of them did not show up so we went 4 people plus the guide to do the excursion. We left Vik at 7:35 and shortly after we were at the esplanade that gives the entrance to an unparalleled wonder and of course one of the best excursions we have done in Iceland. Our guide was Óskar, it is more than evident that he loves his job and the place and you see something that he transmits throughout the tour, apart from that, the place is wonderful and worth x 1000, it is also a place with days numbered and having the opportunity to be in that place just the 5 of us, without any other excursion makes the place even more magical. A must-see that is totally worth it, perhaps the cave is not the longest in the world but honestly the entire complex and the surroundings of this tour are essential in our opinion. It's not just the cave, it's the arch, it's the ice mountain, the landscape...

Ice Cave Tour near Vik - We recently completed an Ice Cave tour by Katla Volcano. Our guide was very knowledgeable as well as entertaining! We felt safe traveling with him to the Cave. There was plenty of time to tour the cave and take photos. This hike is good for beginners or anyone learning to use crampons. Highly recommend if you are in the Vik area!
