In 14 distinct exhibition galleries, the focus is on unique cultural treasures from all over the world. The highlights of the Museum represent more than 500 years of high-quality collecting activities on the part of the Habsburgs – among them objects from the Cabinet of Curiosities of Emperor Rudolf II, the unique Mexican feather headdress »Penacho«, the world-famous collection of James Cook, and objects from the voyages of discovery and research of the 19th century.

The gallery of the breathtaking Hall of Columns also provides access to two collections of the Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna. The Imperial Armoury is packed full of magnificent suits of armour and decorative weapons that attest to chivalric values and important occasions at court. The Welt Museum is very interesting. - The Welt Museum is great. It's "anthropology" focused. Different cultures. In my (limited) experience, you didn't really need to buy an advance ticket. But it was nice and convenient. Their cafe happened to be excellent (limited selection but excellent quality.) Two hours is a good amount of time.

A majestic experience - The best museum that I have visited in My life. Thats because, beside The vast collection, including from some of The most important paitings in The world to middle age artefacts (paralel to The Louvre and The British Museum) The Kunsthistorisches itself is a jewel, with Very elaborared walls, I've neve seen anything like that.

A lot of artifacts from all over the world - Although I had the skip the line ticket it did not scan but I was still able to enter. There are a lot of artifacts covering so many historical periods and I saw most of it but I was not able to see everything.
