Additional Information

Our culinary expedition in Vienna commences with a trip to a family-run bakery situated in the city’s 10th district, proceeding from our rendezvous at St. Stephen’s Cathedral. We will travel via subway to this diverse, communal setting. At this location, we will indulge in a delightful local delicacy known as krapfen - a sugary, jam-filled doughnut savored throughout the year but particularly during the period leading up to Lent.

Our journey continues as we take the subway to the city’s 4th district for a visit to an off-the-beaten-path coffee shop. Although not widely recognized, this café serves delectable Austrian pastries including cakes and strudels.

Our last destination is Vienna’s renowned Naschmarkt where we will taste artisanal Austrian chocolates. Concluding our tour, we will unwind with a beverage at a trendy locale in the 7th district.

Though our Vienna food tour’s offerings change according to the season, some delights you may encounter include palatschinken (crepes filled with jam), marillenknödel (apricot dumplings), gugelhupf (a type of bundt cake), and/or Austrian-style ice cream.

  • The maximum number of passengers on this tour is 10.
  • All guests participating in small group experience must be 12+ years of age.

Local experiences amazing food - Maria was an excellent tour guide. She took us not only to places in the first district that a normal tourist would find but also places in many other districts where true locals would go. You will not leave hungry! I recommend skipping lunch that day.

In for a pleasant surprise - We originally booked the tour with our daughter in mind as she has a sweet tooth. Besides the really yummy food/beverages, Patrick’s hospitality just made our day despite the rain. He took us around in metro/by foot, introduced the city & local life along the way. We would recommend to other travelers, not only does it show another face of the city, the food tastes great, better than some of the restaurants we tried in Vienna.

Eating your way through Amsterdams best sweets and treats - What a fun food tour!! We learned about the local neighborhoods as we walked and took the train to several local hot spots! You will try so many desserts, most were delicious, followed by a traditional dinner of schnitzel and meats and potatoes and veggies... including wine! Fun experience, great food, and excellent guide!

Perfect way to spend time around Vienna - I was traveling solo in Vienna and had such a great time with Wolfy and the group! Wolfy shared tons of fun information about the food we tried, the places we visited, and about Vienna/Austria in general. We visited different styles of places too, and I can’t wait to go back to eat at them again!
