Additional Information

Our culinary expedition in Vienna commences with a trip to a family-run bakery situated in the city’s 10th district, proceeding from our rendezvous at St. Stephen’s Cathedral. We will travel via subway to this diverse, communal setting. At this location, we will indulge in a delightful local delicacy known as krapfen - a sugary, jam-filled doughnut savored throughout the year but particularly during the period leading up to Lent.

Our journey continues as we take the subway to the city’s 4th district for a visit to an off-the-beaten-path coffee shop. Although not widely recognized, this café serves delectable Austrian pastries including cakes and strudels.

Our last destination is Vienna’s renowned Naschmarkt where we will taste artisanal Austrian chocolates. Concluding our tour, we will unwind with a beverage at a trendy locale in the 7th district.

Though our Vienna food tour’s offerings change according to the season, some delights you may encounter include palatschinken (crepes filled with jam), marillenknödel (apricot dumplings), gugelhupf (a type of bundt cake), and/or Austrian-style ice cream.

Fabulous - Maria was an extraordinary guide. By the end our small group felt like family and friends. Very efficient way to try wide variety of Austrian specialties as well as get outside of the tourist center. Highly recommend.

Excellent experience and awesome guide! - Excellent tour with an exceptional guide. Maria made this a very special event. She is very friendly, super knowledgeable and great fun! She made this tour memorable and we hope to have her as a guide on some of the other tours she runs on our next visit. We would even do this tour again because of her. She took us to great places and the sweets and other food was outstanding. Again, this was an exceptional experience and we highly recommend it and Maria as a guide!

Great way to see the city! - We loved our tour especially Maria our tour guide. We saw places we would have never gone to and liked having to jump on public transportation. Maria was knowledgeable and friendly and always smiling. We loved the vibe of our group. We ended the tour with a savory dish which was much appreciated and no dinner necessary after all the tastings.

Maria top guide in vienna! - Maria was a fantastic guide! We had a wonderful tour throughout Vienna, both in central areas, but also and above all in less touristy areas. He made me try a lot of typical dishes and desserts, and told me super interesting stories and anecdotes about the city and the places we visited. It was really super fun, I would do it again a hundred times. Thank you! ❤️

Yummy dessert tour - We did the dessert tour in Vienna. Maria was great! She explained the tour and warned us to pace ourselves ( for us, it was a lot of food). She shared tips on visiting Vienna and helped us with things we were interested in doing. The food and drinks were yummy and the dinner at the end was wonderful! Would definitely recommend

A unique experience in Vienna - This was a really fun tour and a great way to experience Vienna. Maria was our guide and she planned a very fun evening for us. We enjoyed a cafe in the first district and then ice cream in the tenth. Then she took us to an adorable place in the fourth district that was cozy and welcoming. After that, we saw the market and a chocolate shop in the sixth. We ended the evening with a traditional Viennese meal in the fifth district. I would recommend this tour if you want to see more than the imperial places in Vienna.
