Brilliant walking tour - We absolutely loved the walking tour - our guide Moritz was brilliant at building a picture of how Vienna developed from the Roman times to WWII and all the political intrigue through the ages. Moritz was very passionate and knowledgeable about his home town and enthusiastic about sharing this.

An absolute MUST DO! - Outstanding! I’ve done dozens of city tours and none have compared to this well-planned and executed tour. We saw dozens and dozens of the most important, beautiful parts and art works of gorgeous Vienna. Moritz was outstanding! He is knowledgeable and entertaining with facts and stories. This truly made our trip unforgettable.

A great city walk - We were in Vienna for the first time in August 2025 and booked this tour to get to know the city. We were completely enthusiastic, the tour can without doubt be considered the highlight of our stay.
In just over 3 hours Moritz took us through almost 2000 years of Vienna's city history and the historic city centre itself. His sympathetic nature, his enthusiasm for his hometown and the common thread of his narrative made time fly by for us:
Not only tourist hotspots, but also many hidden places, where one would otherwise probably pass without a clue, he introduced us, explained and brought us closer not only with facts but also with funny, mysterious or sometimes "scandalous" stories.
After the tour we didn’t feel foreign in Vienna and were ready to go out on our own and look at individual things in detail. We will definitely come to Vienna again.
Any personal tips and recommendations for food or other activities that Moritz shares during the city walk should be considered.

Excellent Tour - This is by far the best history/culture tour we have been on. I have never been on a longer-than-2-hours tour after which I remember every single detail. Moritz's power of story telling is unlike any other. He takes you on a journey through different time periods and ties it all together beautifully. He is a wealth of knowledge and has so much passion about the history of Vienna. Can't recommend more, and it is amazing deal.

Fabulous tour with Moritz! - We had a terrific afternoon with Moritz showing us the most interesting and beautiful places in Vienna. Moritz was easy going, friendly and tailored the tour to our interests. He was very knowledgeable and made the history come to life with great anecdotes and stories. He was very patient with our questions and answered them fully. Moritz really seemed to go out of his way to ensure we enjoyed the tour. I would highly recommend him, and would definitely ask for him again if I’m ever back in Vienna for another visit.

Stellar tour for an introduction to Vienna - We had an excellent tour with Moritz Hantschel, who blended stories of the history and culture of the city with interesting facts and fun trivia. He led a very well organized walk through the old city and patiently answered every question with flawless English and an easy-going manner. He took into several historic churches to point out interesting key features and made great historical connections between famous people. He covered a lot of ground and topics, without making us feel like we moved too fast or too slow. Plus he offered many great recommendations for what more to see and where to get some great apple strudel with an Einspänner.

Excellent guide. Good... - Excellent guide. Good knowledge of history and culture and anecdotal stories made things interesting. Covered a large number of points of interest in a reasonable time. We gained a good overall view of the city.

Excellent tour of Vienna - Excellent guide and great tour. At the beginning of the tour Moritz asked me what I was interested in (architecture,history) and was able to cater the tour to my interests. He had a very broad knowledge of Vienna, and was able to relay this well. In addition, he made many recommendations for things to do and places to eat.

Very knowledgeable- lived in Vienna whole life - Our guide was so knowledgeable, grew up here his whole life. It turns out it was just our group on the tour so it was super personal and we loved hearing all his detailed knowledge

Funny and informative tour - I enjoyed the sightseeing in the city, the stories of my guide Moritz were great, he went into details and covered a big part of the city. I just found the route somehow tiring, it was a long walk!
