Local Yahoos vs Musicians - The musicians were outstanding, the program excellent, the Annakirche stunning. Yet the shouting from the street was so loud bet ween movements—and sometimes during the playing—that it compromised the experience. I found myself increasingly irritated that the organizers had not found a better way to muffle street noise or arrange with local businesses or municipal authorities for a quieter zone around the church during performance times. Perhaps the venue should be changed. A concert we attended in the Peterskirche had no such interference.

The pews are an act of torture. - The church was lovely, the music was lovely, but those pews need to be chopped up and used for kindling. Your back and butt with be in pain for the entirety of the show. Do yourself a favor and sit on the side chairs, stay put of the pews! It’s miserable.
