History buffs can learn a lot about the holy Roman empire - You’re very interesting perspective on the Hapsburg era and the holy Roman empire. The closing is magnificent as our the jewels.

A must see in Vienna - The museum was beautiful. I was just in awe of the grandiose feeling. The staff were very friendly and all the art was mind blowing.

No one should miss this one - Wow! The jewels, crowns, robes, religious relics are just incredible. Hope they have upped their security after the Louvre! So much history and explained well by the audio guide. As with all these palaces & museums, there are just too many people but they do manage it very well.

Amazing and huge - Just prepare to spend about 3+ hours in there. And definitely get a matching ticket for the imperial treasury (that one took up about 30 minutes) but what an amazing experience. They also rent out power banks downstairs :). Buy the ticket before just so you can skip the queue it’s so much faster

Amazing history! - An amazing museum, very much worth a visit. Get prebooked tickets as queues for tickets were lengthy. Once inside it was quieter than expected as there's plenty of space between display cases etc. Some of the displays had English notices about the contents, but some didn't, so make sure you have Google Translate on your phone. Amazing experience as you walk around, expect to spend either a morning or afternoon looking at everything. Small cafe in the museum with good coffee, cakes and other snacks etc, all for a reasonable price, unlike London museums which charge a fortune. Highly recommended.

Skip the line is worth it! - We purchased the skip-the-line Kunsthistorisches Museum & Imperial Treasury tickets for $35US. I believe this actually saved us money and more importantly when we arrived it was raining, and we bypassed the long lines in the rain to go straight into the museum. Inside we purchased the audio guides. 6 euro for one person, and 8 euro for 2 adults – for some savings. We ate lunch at the café in the museum. A bit of a wait. Food was good, but not special compared to the many restaurants in central Vienna – but a nice break in the museum tour. The collection is very good. The Imperial Treasury was nice, but not quite a good comparison to the English Crown jewels.

Beautiful paintings and more. - It was a, uh, big museum. Beautiful paintings by Vermeer, Rembrandt and Breugel. But also the huge amount of beautiful tableware and other gadgets were very worthwhile. There was also a department with Egyptian pieces, but I didn't have time for that anymore, it was really big.

Mostly robes, not what I necessarily think of as 'treasure' - There are several different museums within the Hofburg complex, all of which are close to each other but require separate admissions. This was one of them. It seemed like it might be interesting, and online photos play up the 'crown jewels' type aspects. I bought tickets online. This was not one where you had a timed entry, so it had some flexibility. I don't recall if they required you to check backpacks, as we left ours at the hotel that day due to another associated museum's prohibition on them. My verdict on this was that it was not as interesting as I'd hoped. Their breakdown is roughly: 20% crowns, swords, and jewels. 25% religious items like reliquaries. 50% robes (coronation, etc.). 5% miscellaneous. By far, the most common thing you'll see are robes / clothes. They did have a good audio guide (for a nominal extra charge). But if I'd known exactly what to expect, I don't think I'd have come here. It depends on what you are personally interested in, of course. However, given that most trips have a limited time budget, I think I'd have spent that time at some other museum / attraction instead. We spent about an hour touring the whole place, which was not small.

Invalid ticket - No explanation on the use of the ticket received by Viator .As it is not indicated that it is a queue cut ... we queue for 1 hour ..arrival at the checkpoint we are told that we must exchange the ticket received for a real ticket ..and go to a ticket office... we do it and back to square one..new queue of 1 hour!!! frankly null.
