Long trip worth it only on a clear day - Early start and long road journey (adequate stops) were worth it. Although we were blessed with a gorgeous sunny day which allowed stunning views. I wouldn't bother going all that way on dull cloudy day as the visit would be a bit dull with not much to do. The boat trip was gorgeous. Our coach was a double decker where we sat upstairs and felt a bit detached from our guide. we weren't greeted by her so didn't even see what she looked like which led to confusion when it came to meeting for the guided tour!

The guide was very... - The guide was very informative. Knew his details very well. Had a great time. It was a long day with a 4 hour drive either way, but still I would not want to stay in Hallstat so the option of a daytrip from Vienna was great.

A Magical Day in Hallstatt – A Must-Visit! - We visited Hallstatt, Austria from Salzburg by car, and such an unforgettable experience it was! The breathtaking beauty of the snow-capped mountains and the serene lake created a picture-perfect setting, and the city nestling in was just magical. One of the highlights of the trip was the Hallstatt Skywalk. The panoramic views from this vantage point were absolutely stunning, offering a bird’s-eye view of the village and the surrounding alpine landscape. It’s definitely worth the visit! The Hallstatt Salt Mine Tour was another remarkable experience. The tour was well-organized, providing an insightful look into the history of salt mining in the region. The guided experience, complete with interactive exhibits and even a couple of fun slide inside the mine, made it an engaging activity. Both the Skywalk and Salt Mine Tour took about three hours, so plan your timing accordingly, especially if you're on a tight schedule.

Great Experience. - First and foremost Hallstatt is beautiful. Also the journey to Hallstatt is breathtaking. In general, this trip is mainly for sightseeing and enjoying the picturesque view. If you are visiting during winter time, you should think about wearing snow shoes. Our tour guide Stefan was a great guy with humour who was more than willing to show us around and suggest us ways to pass our time.

Long day but nice! - Hallstatt is a nice place to visit but the trip was a bit too long due to the length of breaks we took.

No recommendation for this trip - The description says 2.5 hours bus ride. In fact, we have been on the road for almost 5 hours. Half an hour's rest in an overpriced rest stop, which probably needs to be done because of the bus driver's driving times. Hallstadt is really beautiful. 3 hours to explore the city, then another boat trip. To be precise, we drove 2 stops on a ship that takes people from A to B. We were very disappointed with the ride and would not recommend this to anyone. Too much transfer for the short term and also not worth the money. Too bad, maybe you should adapt the description better

Long bus ride - Very long bus ride with a one stop each way for food and washroom break, which you need to pay for. Information given during the bus ride was not informative enough and the guide’s voice was monotonous (and put me to sleep). Hallstatt was extremely beautiful but it’s obvious that the local people are somewhat tired of the visitors (I’m’ not sure I can blame them). The boat ride was nice and short; unfortunately we did not go near the castle.

Epcot meets Eola Park - This tour is extremely lengthy and tiring for what you get. You will find that the village is quaint but lacks facilites for tourists. I can understand why the people who reside here would not be open to tourists- i actually felt uncomfortable invading their space.
