Start your adventure onboard an open-air boat from Victoria’s inner harbor, providing an unparalleled opportunity for the daring! The custom-designed zodiac is perfect for navigating the Salish Sea. Be vigilant for the sight of whales, pinnipeds, and other sea animals!
- Not suitable for participants with back or neck problems, pregnant women, participants with recent surgeries
- There is a minimum passenger height restriction of 4ft (120cm)
- Each passenger is required to sign a Release of Liability at check in. Participants must be 19 years of age, or require a parent or guardian to sign on their behalf
- Subject to favorable weather conditions. If canceled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date/time/vessel or full refund

Orca adventure - It was a beautiful day to go out and the views of the islands and mountains were spectacular. Our guide Mark was very informative and it was so interesting following orca group T123 around , watching some of their swim patterns and eating behaviors. I would highly recommend!

Orcas and fantastic trip on a Zodiac - Awesome orcas as well as bald eagles seals and sea lions . Great views and captain Mark was very knowledgeable . Very welcome hot chocolate back at base after. Lucky enough to see a new born orca calf

Whale day - best day ever! - Awesome experience. Our tour guide Mark was so knowledgeable about the whales and the environment. We saw a pod of orcas feeding and then sea lions, harbor seals, and a sea otter. Would absolutely recommend this tour!

Absolutely awesome! - It was epic. As soon as we got out there we found a family of five killer whales hunting a sea lion. The staff was amazing and well informed, they knew exactly where to find what they we were looking for. This is the whale watching experience for you!

One of the best things to do on Vancouver Island - This was the most amazing trip ever. The boat trip alone was super fun but seeing orcas was just incredible. Mark was our captain and he was absolutely incredible, he had great knowledge (including recognising ever individual orca!!) and really made the trip special. I’d recommend Prince of Whales to everybody!!

Exhilarating - This was such a fun experience, from dressing up in the big red survival suits, to the views of the snow capped Olympia range, and of course the wildlife. The weather was calm and mild, and we were treated to sea otters, seals, sea lions, bald eagles, and best of all a pair of humpback whales rising and travelling beside us for about 15 minutes. Simply breathtaking.

Fabulous experience all around. - Thanks for a great experience Mark. Your commentary was very interesting and informative. We were lucky enough to see a good number of Orcas and got to enjoy them for some time. Tour went on and we saw lots of seals and bald eagles. We felt at ease in the boat. Staff were super helpful when I had trouble with my suit and chatted with us over a hot chocolate after we returned.

Great experience - Mark was our guide and it was a very good tour. We saw humpback whales and orcas. Mark was very knowledgeable and made a good effort to search for whales and orcas. We ended up being on a 4-hour trip instead of 3-3 1/2 hours as advertised which was very good. I highly recommend it, this is our 2nd time with Prince of Whales and it was a fantastic one as well.

Great experience. - Mark was AWESOME! We saw bald eagles, seals and sea lions, humpback whales and orca. Mark was great at spotting and getting into position so we could get great pictures and views of everything.
