AWESOME walking tour with and AWESOME guide! and oh, the food is good too! - I booked this tour through Shore Excursions Group for my stop in Victoria BC while on my NCL cruise to Alaska. What a great tour! Our guide was so friendly and informative (I wish I could remember her name), the stops were all so different but all so good! The Asian Corn Dog was my favorite - something I would never have tried but now I will seek it out. The tacos and sweets were good too. We stopped to taste wine, but I am allergic so the owner graciously gave me a locally made soda to taste. It was delicious! I enjoyed the information provided by the food establishments as well as the extra details from our guide. I highly recommend this tour!

This is more than just a food tour - My wife are from Southern California. We took the "Eat Like a Canadian" tour while our cruise ship was in Victoria. The tour turned out to be way more interesting and fun than we expected. First, thanks to our guide, Bonnie, for giving us a personalized tour as we were the only ones who showed up. She gave us the cultural and historical significance of the foods we sampled. Some foods were new to us. Some were familiar but we didn't know about their ties to Canada or their importance to the local economy. All were delicious and there was plenty to eat. We made a point of coming hungry to the tour and we still couldn't eat it all. Besides the food, Bonnie gave us great city tour. We've been to Victoria previously but didn't learn as much about the city's history on other tours as we did on this one. She gave us the background on the neighborhoods we walked through, historical buildings, monuments, the city's founders, and points of interest. We also learned about Victoria's role in the history and development of British Columbia and Canada as a whole. You'll get your exercise on this tour too. It was almost 3 hours total, probably half the time on our feet. It was no problem for us but it's something to consider if you're not in good physical shape. All in all, this was a great tour. We can't wait to return to Victoria and eat like a Canadian again.

You had me at ‘Candied Monk Fish!’ - Lots of food and local knowledge makes this a great tour the first day or two after you arrive. Fish, pizza, ice wine, poutine and more will make for a great ‘lunch.’ The candied fish at the first stop - and the great looking fish both in the fish tanks and coming in from the boats - is great! Be prepared to walk, but it’s a beautiful stroll and all flat land. Your takes you to many parts of Victoria, and these are great places to come back and visit later in your trip. Plan on a late dinner, as you will be full of food after this tour! Course, the tour guide always makes it special - as did ours!! While you’re in Victoria, we also suggest taking a water taxi up into the beautiful Gorge area for recreation.
