A great experience, despite the rain - We were picked up at hour hotel at 9:06, after two previous pick-ups of 3 other passengers. It was a large van for our small group, so we were really comfortable. We made a lot of stops along the way, to admire views and waterfalls, but during the morning it was rainy and windy. Our guide, Absalon, made some changes to the itinerary considering the weather, so he left the best views for the afternoon. Lunch was included and we stopped at a nice bakery-restaurant, and the 7 of us (with the guide and driver) sat together. Absalon suggested fish and chips, which most of us agreed, but a couple chose chicken; they said it was good, but our fish was delicious, hard to beat. It came with lots and lots of french fries. We all also bought bread or cookies for later. (The bread was delicious, the cookies and brownies much too sweet). The views, cliffs, sheep, waterfalls and tunnels just kept coming; and when the rain stopped, we were able to admired them much better. Bring hiking shoes, jacket (it was July, but still 10o C grades) and rain pants, if you have. Absalon shared a lot of information about economy, tourism, education and everyday life in the islands.
