- Lofoten Seaweed Shop - Let’s visit the locals! In Lofoten, people have relied on the ocean since the Viking Age. Recently, a new generation is seeking a more sustainable lifestyle by harvesting seaweed from the ocean. Learn more about seaweed when we visit a local company called Lofoten Seaweed.
- Nusfjord Fishing Village - Nusfjord is one of the oldest and best-preserved fishing villages in Lofoten. Here, you can find the traditional red and yellow wooden fisherman’s cabins, called rorbu. Visitors can explore the historic buildings and enjoy fresh seafood in this quaint village. Nusfjord has an entrance fee (100 NOK) that is not included.
- Rambergstranda Beach - We continue with a quick stop at Ramberg, a small village with fewer than 300 residents, next to a long white beach. Perhaps you’ve seen photos of the old red boathouse on this beach?
- Reine - We save the best for last. In my opinion, Reine is the most beautiful and picturesque place in Lofoten. We’ll stop at Reine to admire the dramatic peaks, crystal-clear water, and charming small wooden houses. If you like, we can also stop here for some lunch (not included).
