La Roche de Solutre - This hill has quite the story, the oldest trace of human presence dates back from the pre historical age and its latest history dates from the french president in the 80’s who’d walk up the hill every year to pay his respect to the french resistance of world war 2.
We can walk up there if you’re up for it, it’s an easy 40 min walk at a slow pace. -
Solutre-Pouilly - This village is probably the most famous one on today’s tour. We’ll be telling you about a real druid who lives here, we’ll tell you about this unique personality and the wine he grows.
We’ll also stop for a proper wine tasting of different wines of the region with the help of a professional. -
Leynes - For our last stop, we’ll visit a domain run by a young couple that represent this new generations of winemakers who will give us a taste of their wine grown both in Mâconnais (Bourgogne) and Beaujolais, they will also share their take on new techniques and trends.
