Additional Information

While many Versailles Bike Tours overlook the spectacular Bosquets, we certainly do not! Our Golfcarts serve as an excellent mode of transportation for their exploration.
You also don’t need to worry about packing food and drinks for the tour as we conveniently provide a picnic lunch accompanied by wine right in the core of the Royal Domain.
Our Golfcart venture through the majestic Royal Gardens includes stopping at select viewpoints like the groves (Bosquets) and the fountains (which operate from April through October).
The unique aspect of our tour is that we are the sole ones who store our bikes directly within the Royal Domain; there is no risky city cycling - our route is completely secure within the Royal Domain, making it particularly child-friendly.
We offer a vast selection of bikes to suit various needs, such as options for adults, teenagers, and children, as well as mountain bikes, city bikes and tandem bikes (with helmets provided).
Our tour has been meticulously planned in accordance with the operational hours of the fountains (not an all-day operation), allowing you to witness the beauty of the spouting water jets (only between April and October).
Plus, enjoy the company of our fun guide!
PLEASE NOTE - SPECIFY YOUR PREFERRED FOOD AND DRINK CHOICES IN THE SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS SECTION.

  • Please choose one of these drink options: Red wine, Rosé wine, White wine, Coke, Coke Zero, Orangina, and Sprite.

Wonderful fountains - This tour was perfect to explore Versailles and its weekend fountains. Our guide Nima was excellent and showed great care for everyone. The mix of carts, bikes, lunch and chateau interior was good for our teenager. One tip I would offer is plan 2 hours for comfortable train RER C train joirney from Gare D’Austerlitz ($10 US RT) to meet tour. King Tours communication was much appreciated.

Delightful tour - Lucie was a wonderful tour guide who shared her love of Versailles with us. Her stories added depth to the tour. Her humor, thoughtfulness and flexibility made us feel special. Since it was cold and windy, we stopped for hot chocolate twice to warm up. We enjoyed seeing the gardens with the golf cart. Our favorite part was the farm animals at Petit Trianon! The palace was very crowded but the rest of the tour was memorable and wonderfully organized. The lunch (get the red wine) was delicious!

Versailles golf cart tour - The trip was wonderful. Loved the tour with golf carts and bikes . Unfortunately we could not access the petit Trianon which was a surprise to our guide and apparently due to a strike. Our guide was being evaluated. She was very nice, knowledgeable but too slow and lost the interest of the group. Her mentor was excellent.

Fabulous private tour! - We had a private tour with Nima and we are a family of 4, incl. 2 teenagers. We had an amazing time, Nima is a very knowledgeable guide who is able to engage us, and our teenagers, in a very interesting dialogue about Versailles. He was also very patient with our teenagers. The lunch picnic he prepared for us was very well thought out and delicious. This was one of the best tours we ever had.

Wonderful Versailles Experience - Mo Mo was an outstanding guide, he was the highlight of the tour! Full of energy, fun stories and history facts that really brought things to life. He took great care of us. It was delightful to ride the carts around for the gardens and the bikes as well to see parts of the grounds I had never seen before. Highly recommend this tour!

Time of year greatly impacts this tour - This tour is a great way to see, experience, and learn about Versailles. It is 6 hours long which is appropriate for prime season. It is much too long for the off season when the fountains are drained and all the marble statues in the gardens are covered until April 1st. Additionally our tour was impacted by a labor strike that day causing the palace to close the Petit Trianon and English Gardens to tourists. This made for a long day awaiting our ticketed entry time to tour the inside of the palace.

Meh - The people guiding the tour were so nice and knowledgeable. It is not their fault that all of the statues on the grounds were covered in tarps, none of the fountains were on or that some areas were completely closed off. They showed us, on their phones, what everything looked like when it wasn’t winter or prep for the Olympics. Maybe this tour should only be done when the gardens are truly ready for visitors.

Very Disappointing - WAY OVERPRICED AND EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING!!! While our guide was knowledgeable about Versailles, it was most upsetting and unbelievable (SINCE WE PAID DEARLY FOR A TOUR - more than $175.00 US/pp) that he was not with us while inside the Grand and Petit Trianons, nor inside the Palace of Versailles. Instead, he merely pointed us in the directions of the museums, where we were expected to tour on our own. It would have made much more sense for the guide to talk to us about Versailles and French history while taking us on tours INSIDE the museums instead of talking to us OUTSIDE while we were standing in the rain! And because of the rain at times, our bike tour was canceled even though other tourists were seen riding bikes. Other tour groups were also given plastic raincoats, however none were offered by Viator. For the price of the tour, these cheap raincoats should have been provided. A very expensive and disappointing day.
