Amazing day! - This was a great experience. It was so easy to find our guide- she was extremely friendly and knowledgable. Train was easy, bike setup was easy. Naiomi passed us off to another guide to tour the palace first- it was fabulous to skip the long lines. The market was charming and getting set for a picnic was easy. I’d been to Versaille before but getting to go far into the gardens was amazing. We picnicked on the Gran Canal looking back up at the palace- it was Stunning! Queens Hamlet was also neat, I hadn’t seen that before. Even my 8 year old did fine with the bike riding, and it was my 13 year old’s favorite part of our entire trip. Highly recommend!

It is a must when visiting Paris! - Pauline was the best tour guide. Very sweet and very knowledgeable of French history. She really brought the stories to life. The tour through town was so charming. Loved her suggestions at the market and relaxing along the channel for a picnic lunch was a dream. Highly recommend this tour! It was a perfect day.

Highlight of our Paris trip! - We did the full-day Versailles bike tour (8:45 AM – 5 PM) and it was hands-down our favorite day! The entire experience was seamless, thanks to excellent communication and seamless process from start to finish. Our guides (Eleanor and Jack) were knowledgeable, and brought wonderful humor and engaging stories to the tour, making the rich history of Versailles come alive. The day was perfectly paced, and structured. First you stop at the market and are able to explore on your own and pick out your lunch for later. Then you head out for the gardens tour which allowed plenty of time to explore the palace grounds, and gardens. It ended inside the palace and since we had the guide, we were able to bypass the lines, but inside the palace it was insanely crowded. Jack did a great job bringing us through and highlighting important rooms and stories. At end, Eleanor went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of at every point, and she even took the time to navigate us back to the Metro and get on the correct train. If you’re considering a visit to Versailles, we can’t recommend this tour highly enough. It was the highlight of our trip and an unforgettable way to experience this iconic place!

Lovely day in Versailles- highly recommend - Eleanor was very helpful and knowledgeable. Starting out at the market was beautiful-we felt very French being able to buy fresh strawberries and baguettes! The tour was so fun. Going around in the bikes was amazing. You get a whole different view of the city in the bikes and riding through the gardens was so picturesque. Finishing the day with the tour of the chateaux was great because you had more context about the history of Louis 14th and it was a perfect way to end the day. We loved the whole tour!

A day well spent (Versailles) - If you are looking for a guided tour of Versailles and its lands by bike, then this is the one. Here are the reasons: 1) One price covers everything, from train ride to return train ride; 2) You have a guide from the moment you meetup at the train station; 3) You are handed a ticket, meet your guide, and fellow travelers, and get on the CORRECT train; 4) You are with a small group of people (ours had 7 total) and questions and conversations occurred quite naturally; 5) Our guide, Eleonore, clearly loved what she did and knew her stuff. Additionally, when asked about possible sources to follow up, she emailed me a list; 6) We toured Versailles and the immediate grounds with Eleonore’s informative commentary. (At one point we joined up with 2 other groups from the same company to go through the rooms of the palace. We were provided with earpieces that WORKED and received wonderful insights at each stop along the way.); 7) Once outside we regrouped and biked into town. Eleonore recommended places to purchase lunch and beverage items for our picnic; 8) We biked through the city to the now public grounds around the palace, (I’m not certain of the distance, but I’d say at least 6 miles on mostly flat terrain); 9) We picnicked beside the large pond on the estate. Blankets, flatware, plates and wine openers all provided, (For me, biking through the estate along with the picnic was the highlight of the day; I’m sure others had different impressions.); 10) A quick visit to Marie Antoinette’s village, a return ride through town, and we were back to the bike depot; and 11) Leonore then walked us through the train station and made sure we met the proper train. One item rarely mentioned on these tours is the “rhythm” of the day. We were together from 8:00 – 17:00 and transitions were spaced in a timely manner so that everyone could use the facilities, take in everything, and not feel rushed. Kudos!

Fun, family day at Versailles - We brought our 10 y/o granddaughter to Paris and signed up for this tour for our last day. The weather was perfect and our guide, Elinore, was charming, informative, helpful, great with kids, and a perfect storyteller! She even took pictures of our family which I will use on our Christmas card. Since we returned home, our granddaughter has been asked many times about her trip and favorite activities in Paris. This tour is always in the top 3 and my husband and I would agree!
