Explore the first and unique lab dedicated to smoking freshwater fish in the Aosta Valley.

Formed in 2019, Altura is a burgeoning company established by two buddies, Lorenzo and Edoardo. Initially focused on promoting trout, it has transformed into something even greater.

Situated adjacent to the historical heart of Verrés, beneath a spectacular castle, and on the threshold of the Val d’Ayas, allow the aroma of smoldering timber to envelope you!

We’re eager to welcome you!

For fish lovers - Fantastic source of knowledge how to get the best out of local fishes. Very cosy setting, we tried 5 different methods how to prepare the fish and caviar.

A wonderful discovery in Altura - We arrived here almost by chance, looking for a new experience in which the passion for fish of two friends meets the mountains. We were welcomed by Edoardo, who with passion and professionalism told us and showed us the birth of a dream. He let us taste 5 different products from the Aosta Valley and Piedmont including trout, char, whitefish and trout caviar, all processed in the small laboratory where we visited. Absolutely worth trying. Thanks for the nice experience

Well done!! - Well done guys, what you do and how you do it is really very interesting. Convey passion and love for your work. I had already tasted your products, but knowing everything behind it is also surprising. You are young and smart, I will give you a good word of mouth, I promise!!! Ps. Even our little one, just under a year old, really liked the trout!
