Informative walking tour. - Valentina explained everything so well. Her English was good and she took a time to explain and answer all the questions. We now know so much more about Venice. If you are debating I would book right now. Just make sure starting place and ending place are 2 different places.

Experiencing Venice through the eyes and heart of a local! - We had a great time in Venice and saw the lagoon city through the eyes and heart of a local! Denise our tour guide was born in Venice and studied there as well. She has in-depth knowledge about the history of the city, what happens at high tide, the construction material used in homes and a lot of fun facts on life in Venice. She was very engaging and kept us all listening and answering questions. I learned so much and above all appreciate the city so much more now. A big “thank you” to Denise for letting us know about the relics of the Holy Cross which is exposed only two times in the year. It was because of her we got to see this relic and experience this special religious moment.

The guide was nice, but the tour was not super interesting for us - We met the guide who was nice and welcomed us. My fiancé and I are history fans, and were a bit disappointed by the depth of the explanations. We found them a bit superficial at time. The most 2 egregious examples were : 1/ we ended the tour at San Marco, where the guide just gave us a couple of activity recommendation (no real explanation on the piaza, the buildings, etc.) 2/ the guide presented the inhabitant counter as an odd curiosity when it could have been a good opportunity to explain the demographic crisis that Venice is ongoing.
