Excellent tour of St Mark’s. - Wonderful tour with exceptional guide. Knew a lot of history of Venice and Christian symbols in church. Allowed time to look around. Was very please with the tour given by Diana.

Fabulous tour of the beautiful basilica! - Our guide Vinia was wonderful! She shared a lot of fascinating history, added her own personal memories and was altogher charming!
The review is missing a 5th star because of the very long wait to go upstairs to see the beautiful gold horses.

Knowledgeable native tour... - Knowledgeable native tour guide, skip the line access to the 1st and 2nd floor of the basilica, size of group was manageable.

The description of tour... - The description of tour tells - you will be seated in the basilica to observe mosaics and frescoes. LIE! It is not allowed. So - just quick go around central part and then visit of gallery.
The tour guide provided only basic information. The cost of tour - only for the entrance without line.

Not as described - The description says "seated visit is ideal" and "you'll settle into a comfortable seat" but we did not sit once. We booked this tour specifically for my mother who has mobility issues and we were counting on her being able to sit. That didn't happen. Our guide was very nice, but we did not get the experience described on Viator that we had hoped for.

Building was amazing! - The views!
Unfortunately, our guide seemed to be bored and just going through the motions and took a personal phone call for a few minutes which we could all hear. She wouldn’t have known who was in our group

Disappointed - Our tour guide, Alberto, was very difficult to understand. His English was not very good. His narrative sounded like he was reading from a textbook. Not terribly interesting. The only good thing is that we got to skip the very long line queuing outside the basilica (on a Saturday). Inside the church was extremely crowded and we had to queue inside for about 45 minutes to go up to the balcony. Overall, not good value for money. The experience may have been completely different on a different day with a different guide.

THIS IS A SCAM - We arrived 20 minutes late because there was a mass public transportation general strike in the whole of Italy and by the time we arrived the guide was gone and their office closed. They would not come back for the rest of the day. There were no taxis nor vaporetto or anything!. We had to cross over to st. Marks by gondola and it took us almost 1 hour. I tried to get a refund but they did not accept. They have no contact phone number or any way to actually talk to them. The next day I went to their booth (thats all they have in st. Marks) and it still remained closed. This is a tourist trap, DO NOT USE THEM!!
