This excursion offers you the chance to truly appreciate Venice waking up to its full glory. Discover Venice in the early morning hours while it’s still serene and unoccupied. Wander through campi and calli, encountering just a handful of locals on their way to their jobs. Traverse the Rialto bridge before it’s swamped by crowds (an ideal moment to pause for a keepsake photo from the top!) and arrive at Venice’s historic trading hub. Here, we’ll partake in a typical Venetian breakfast (coffee/cappuccino and pastry) standing, as the locals do. Did you know that coffee was introduced to Europe by Venetian traders? Your local guide will share this fact and other intriguing tales and anecdotes. Following breakfast, our journey takes us through the local market, leading to the Grand Canal where a gondola awaits us for you to experience Venice from its natural vantage point: the water.
