Expensive for what they offer - The tour was 9-10 minutes long and it was very basic - there was someone giving a basic commentary in Italian and English (the Italian one sounded more comprehensive) and the glass blower created a small glass and a miniature horse. The tour felt expensive and inauthentic. Their shop had a good variety of items to buy at good prices.

Review the ABCs of education - I don't like to make controversies but to make suggestions for managers who I think need them. That's what they taught me. I don't discuss the place and the products, but the really embarrassing approach of the staff. Luckily we received a greeting at the entrance from a gentleman, we were then taken care of by a really rude girl. She didn't say hello, she spoke in imperatives and, when entering the furnace, she turned her back telling us to follow her and continued with a really not nice attitude. I pointed it out and the girl, wisely, began to treat us like customers and not like sheep. The demonstration was done by another gentleman who didn't even bother to say hello or open his mouth throughout his brief demonstration, which was all in all explained exhaustively by the girl. Maybe he was mute! After leaving the demonstration, we elegantly purchased something, if only to gratify the girl who in the meantime had changed her behavior and I give her credit for that. When collecting the purchased item we asked if they would make us a package and another truly unforgivable lady replied to the girl next to us that "we only make packages for special customers"... We have what special customers were for them, but obviously the "kind lady" did not provide answers. Moral: review the ABCs of education and how to treat those who pay you for your services better and you will avoid finding reviews like this. Maybe sometimes also ask yourself who comes through the door; in my case I was doing inspections and I'm not even going to tell you what for... Best wishes Roberto

Nice demonstration and glassware products, unprofessional staff experience - My wife and I stopped by this place during our honeymoon trip. We really enjoyed the demonstration, and we also found some nice gifts for family which we are excited to bring home. Unfortunately, there were a number of issues during our transaction that left us quite confused. After overestimating the total price through a miscalculation, they initially apologized and corrected the mistake. They then proceeded to mistakenly charge our credit card for the original overestimated amount (an extra $100). Instead of reversing the transaction, they offered to give us back the difference in cash (which we were ok with). As we were on our way out, we realized they had handed us back the receipt but not the cash. When we went back to inquire about this, they simply said "we gave you the money," and refused to consider the possibility it could have been their mistake. In summary, I believe this place is a worthwhile visit, but I would be very careful to double check the price they calculate on your purchase (as the receipts are not itemized), and count your change before you leave the register. I think it's fair that people make mistakes, but refusing to admit those mistakes and blaming the customer becomes unprofessional. It's possible this was a one off scenario, but the way they handled it was not acceptable.
